December 15, 20205 yr We had an impromptu gathering and did some Alaska flying. @Ron Attwood, and I'm sorry I don't know who JT is on Avsim (or Norm) were in attendance @Bert Pieke and @cavaricooper were with us a bit beforehand but had to leave before the SNOW hijinks kicked in. Anyway...was a blast landing on a glacier (and we had a laugh with the pronunciation since there were a few nationalities in the group, LOL). We landed uphill as you can see in the pics, and with all that snow, you don't have any reference points to judge your approach...its pretty tricky. After we took off we flew thru the gorgeous mountain pass on the other side of the mountain, was spectacular! Thanks for all the fun guys!
