To me the specs of snowflakes falling in FS9 are much better than FSX snow.In FSX it just seems to be a hail of white arrows, which does not look too much like snow.It

I don't think I have seen a hail white arrows when in snow. Have you done any texture tweaks?

Hi,I agree with you. The snow falls really fast like rain instead of floating down slowly as in real life. No texture tweaks done here.Jim

Yepp, as I remeber the snow falls very fast in FSX. Another thing I didn

Hmmm. it is fast isn't it. Mind you, having never seen snow fall I don't know what it should look like!

Nopes, cloud shadows where in for a while during development (I think - at least, there was a tick box for it in config pages screenies) but never made the final release.

Man, as much as the volumetric clouds themselves kill my FPS, I'd hate to see what they'd do with ground shadows attatched LOL

You've never seen snow fall?Oh man, you should make a point of doing this someday. It's really beautiful, especially at night walking the streets and seeing it come down in the streetlights, and listening to the wind and quiet that ensues.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180

Frozen lakes were never claimed by ACES to be in FSX. As for the cloud shadows, the tick mark was there in Beta 1, but the effect wasn't hooked up. It was ultimately dropped prior to Beta 2.

I had hoped on a Improvement of this window effects fro Snow and Rain and surely not on a deletement. I'm also missing this effect especial for Rain.Regards Heinz-Werner

HiIs there a way you can make the snow fall more natural (softer) and not as fast like rain?Stelios

>Hi>Is there a way you can make the snow fall more natural>(softer) and not as fast like rain?>>SteliosTry to experiment with the following Effects-Files (ASCII-editable):..Microsoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator XEffectsfx_rainClose.fxfx_rainDown.fxYou can install the Effects Toolkit from the DVD to edit if you have the Deluxe(?)-Edition. Otherwise you can try to edit the files manually.Regards Heinz-Werner
