Known AP issue w/ today's FBW cfbw mod?

Featured Replies

Pilots, anybody aware of an AP issue with FBW's custom fbw mod which I downloaded today, Jan 14? I know it's not stable but so far I used it without issues. Now I flew LOWW to LIRQ, used Direct VOR (since ATC is too messy) and once I selected the appr and STAR for ILS Rwy05Z  it was shown on the MFD but the neo just did not want to follow the new flightplan, it just continued to fly straight ahead as if I did not change the flight plan. On top, a minute later the neo went into a steep right turn... which I was not able to recover from ...

Yep, but I don't have an account there and know that @IcemanFBW and @AGuther are around here, as well

yes, had a death spiral short after takeoff also.

Just updated the FBW mod before that flight.

I could recover him and will see, what happens during landing soon

EDIT: and it is very FPS hungry today

just reverted back to a cfbw version from some days ago and doing the very same flight again. When selecting RWY05 ILS the neo follows nicely the flightplan (only issue is that after a DIR TO the path on the MFD is not updated but that is AFAIK not FBWs fault) and I am right now inbound NIBTO ...

I am wondering has anything changed in the game, as i have being used  a Dev build that worked 100% since i downloaded it about 4 days ago. Today, same build it started wandering off again on descent and approach to KORD.

Flew KLAX to KLAS using the dev version (with custom FBW) from 13 Jan and she behaved perfectly all the way..

I did two dev updates today (one this morning and one this afternoon) and the autopilot and FD's were completely messed up.  Taking off from KDEN rwy 8 the FD's had me pitched straight down and into a sharp right hand turn.  I tried to correct it by flying manually without FD's but as soon as I turned the AP on and the FD, it went haywire.

For those that have the spiral issue, what version of the A32NX are you running? Do you have joystick/controller deadzones configured to 10% or more?

Please do not contact me via DM for support or help with the A32NX mod. We recommend using our help channel on our Discord.

Ah. good tip, i may have decreased it recently. I was using a 4 day old Dev, version, and then yesterdays. But it was occuring with both, but as you say, it sounds like it could be the dead zone issue.

Thanks
