Resolution is self evident once you read the correct discussion which title indicates the topic is the same as the issue reported in the log files.
February 17, 20215 yr Yes, I had the same problem when I tried to download the latest update. Got some weird trojan message. I reinstalled the program and let the threat run (ignore the warning) and it reinstalled but I still get blank screens. Everything worked fine till I upgraded to the new version. Anyone know how to get to the screen where you can choose what GTN screens you want to load into your aircraft I.E. single engine prop, Twin engine , etc? My error message I ignored: C:programData\Reality XPGtnSim32.dll Does anyone has any ideas?

February 17, 20215 yr I just installed he latest Reality XP update today (did not have a trojan warning) and it said it has installed shortcuts to my desktop but they are not there. Can't find them. Any thoughts?
February 17, 20215 yr If you've enable the option in the installer, these are the links to the user's manuals only with files are in the "Program Files (x86)\Reality XP" folder. Otherwise maybe they've been "virtualized" by win10? If this is the case, you might find some files here: C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore
February 18, 20215 yr Windows defender is claiming Backdoor:Win32/Bladabindi!ml is embedded in the latest release and won't let me install. It seems to not like the rxpGTN-XPL-Setup.exe and the DLL in particular. Any help is appreciated. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/threats/malware-encyclopedia-description?name=Backdoor%3aWin32%2fBladabindi!ml&threatid=2147748148

This may also apply to C:\Program Files (x86)\Reality XP for some virus solutions. I can not do that. The computer belongs to my employer. Certain actions are prevented, including the ones you mentioned. Does that in turn mean I now have a 50 USD tool I can no longer use?

I would find a way to get a gaming computer. I wouldn't be very happy knowing my employees are using their business computer for gaming! In fact, i just checked, it's a policy not to! IMO!!!

Not that it matters, as its not your business what I am doing with my machine, but just so you know: I am working as a software developer in the gaming sector. I am not only paid to develope, but also given the hardware in order to test and debug new features for games. So if you will, I am paid to play games (at least part of the time). So, do you or @RXP have any factual hints help me get rid of the issue, or do you prefer to take shots at your paying customers instead?
February 20, 20215 yr I am currently trying to set up the Reality Xp GTN750 (latest version) for the KA 350 Dual Mode modification and have currently three locked threats that Windows Defender has isolated as a threat: Backdoor:Win32/Bladabindi!ml Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.DE!ml Trojan:Win32/Woreflint.A!cl Can anybody confirm that I would be safe to follow the above methodology. I also use Malwarebytes but have allowed Reality XP files without further issue. Thanks Schaefer Edited February 20, 20215 yr by schaefer typo

February 20, 20215 yr @schaefer It is hard to answer your question because you're listing detected virus names but not which files these were detected onto. @Nils_93 "Does that in turn mean I now have a 50 USD tool I can no longer use?" Not at all and I agree with @Adrian123 in that it just mean you now have a computer you can't use a 50 USD software with. Changing computer or removing the limitation is a valid solution in this case, or wait until Windows Defender acknowledge and update their anti-virus heuristics. Now I'm sorry to say this but if this computer is given to you by an employer paying you to test and develop software for them, it begs the question is this "flight simulation" related and in this case, does it have to involve Reality XP products?
