  1. Wow, and we don´t even have to pay for this service? No 20 Dollar price tag? So humble....really, thanks so much! Nils Schloemp
  2. Hello Folks, same problem here. Asked about two weeks ago when they are going to update the Airbus A318/319 to version 1.21. No reply. Now I discovered, that they have updatet it in the mean time. However its frustrating to see that they are not capable of responding, even within two weeks. I think they should give customers an option to be automatically notified, once a purchased product is updated, because if they don´t reply to mails, how do you know when they update? I don´t have the time to "stalk" their website all the time and wait until they finally update stuff. As much as I like their tuesday 10% deals, I guess I spend the next money at an other reseller, because the customer "support" I received so far is worse than poor! I hope they step up their game in terms of customer service, I really do!
  3. Aerosoft is having a sale until November 17th. A lot of sceneries are 25% off! Here is a link to the overview of the discounted sceneries: http://en.shop.aerosoft.com/eshop.php?action=catalog_list&s_group1=00._%20Mega%20Airport%20Sale&shopfilter_category=Flight%20Simulation&s_design=DEFAULT&s_language=english&PHPSESSID=929s2gi2j3gqpv787ejj5qn1t5 I hope zhe link works (never know), if not simply go to aerosoft.com and I guess you will see the banner ^_^
  4. Sorry to say it, but that is absolutely wrong. The 770 has one PCI-E 6 Pin and one PCI-E 8 Pin for power delivery. The official maximum wattage rating for 6 Pin is 75 Watts and 8 Pins are good for maximum 150 Watt (http://www.overclock.net/t/965818/potential-limitations-of-pci-e-6-pin-to-8-pin-adapters). So total maximum power draw of the GPU is 225 Watts. That is also confirmed in the official Nvidia fact sheet, stating in the specifications that the Graphics card Power is 230 Watts (http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-770/specifications). And a modern CPU like the haswell series has a tpd of 84 watts, or 88 watts for haswell refresh (http://ark.intel.com/de/products/80807/Intel-Core-i7-4790K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_40-GHz). If you overclock it, calculate with maximum 130 watts. So, 130 plus 230 Watts is 350 Watts for the main components. Therefore every well build 500 Watt PSU is absolutely enough for such a system. A good PSU for example is the BeQuiet E9 480 Watt CM, or the BeQuiet Dark Power Pro P10 550 Watt. Best regards. Nils
  5. Phew, almost one year of development for 300-ER, SP1 and SDK and than there is a malfunction. Well that sucks :(
  6. And nowadays cheap too! Look for the crucial mx 100
  7. Oh. Did´t know that. Jsut stumbled across one of their planes and saw the sale banner, so I thought it would be something special
  8. Hello, just wanted to share with you that Eaglosoft is currently having a summer sale until 30.June.10% off GA and Corporate Aircraft. Link:http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/coupons.htm Best regards Nils
  9. If your budget allows it, got for one or two ssds like the crucial m500 or samsung eve (one for windows, on for Flight Sim)
  10. Thats wrong. You are able to over clock a non k processor via the base clock. However, that also raises the frequency for everything else on the mono, like the etc. and if your not a highly experienced over clocker you can easily damage all your pc components. Therefore its highly recommended to take Z-boards with a k-processor if you plan to over clock, because then you simply have to raise the multiplicator which involves a much lower risk
  11. Thats true - but you know, when I go GA flying, I usually have some kind of a story in my mind that I am playing, like flying the family to holiday etc. And while it might not be a big difference in real aviation if you fly 3 hours in GA or 4 hours, it is for me in the sim. Because after a while, even with things like Active Sky Next, AccuSim, ORBX Scenery etc. pp it gets boring for me after a while to fly GA in FSX, because there is simply something missing, something you simply can not simulate. Therefore I tend to not fly longer than 2 hour GA flights, and if you take that into consideration it makes sense why someone might be interested in the speed of the GA. Last but not least an aircraft which flies faster not only in cruise but also on approach and departure tends to be more challenging, at least for me. So thats another reason for me why I love fast piston-powered GAs, like the Bonanza or of course the Mooney M20. nils
  12. @ pilottj How is the cruising speed? Is it higher then the C172? I personally never bought the A2A C172 because it was too slow for me So if this one would do 20-30 Knots more, it would be a nice GA addition to the hangar.
  13. They might work, however its not allowed bei the EULA aof A2A. If you want to use the Cherokee for FSX, buy a FSX licences, if you want to use her in P3d, buy a P3D licences and if you plan to use both, buy a combo package. Easy as that
  14. Hi Bryan, thanks for your reply and sorry for my question^^ I was looking at this page (http://www.fs2crew.com/cart/products/FS2Crew%3A-Majestic-Dash-8-Q400-Voice-Control.html) and was not seeing anything like a link to a manual so I assumed it might only be availble for customers Thanks again, Nils
  15. Hello everyone, I am actually really interested in this product. However, I would love to be able to read the manual before purchasing the product, to get a feeling for it. Since I couldn´t find the manual on the FS2Crew Shop I was wondering if it is availble before purchasing the product at all, or if you do not give the manual out. Thanks Nils
  16. Hi, I do have a question about P3D (either V1 or V2). Does P3D offer sloped runways which are not only usable for me, but are also used by the AI traffic? Bacause thats the only thing I was really jeaolus of when I tried out the demo of Xplane and I´d be willing to change to P3D if they offer the same sloped runway feature. Thanks Nils
  17. Made a small picture for you. Hope it helps. http://www.directupload.net/file/d/3591/wiyxblut_png.htm
  18. Read the post by Mr.Randazzo about the upcoming SP1 - in that post he said, that SP1, 777-300 Expansion and SDK more ore less belong together and therefore they won't release the SDK or the 300 expansion before releasing SP1 for the 777. So ask again as soon SP1 for the T7 is released. Edith says: "In all seriousness- we are holding the SP1 update, the 300ER, the OC update and the 777 SDK until all of them are ready for your use because they are so tightly intertwined it just makes testing simpler and cleaner if we hold all of them until they are stable and ready. This will minimize any hiccups and hopefully prevent us from breaking something that is already working well in the interest of trying to fix something without adequate testing..." 19. Ok, I was almost expecting these types of answers somehow, yet I hoped for some open-minded people. Well I guess luck wasn´t on my site this time around... I will just comment really short a last time on this one, because you seem to (think you) know what you are doing. Let me tell you, that just because I am a member of Avsim for roughly 60 days now, doesn´t mean that I have no knowledge. Infact there are also other forums (and other real-world oppurtunitys) to educate yourself - the world doesn´t stop at the borders of avsim. But if seen it quiet a lot and seems to be kind of a bad habbit within AVSIm that most of the people who are long-term members think they know it all and that new AVSimers dont know nothing at all. In fact I am doing quiet a lot of reviews for an other forum and a print magazin. But I guess your right, I am just having luck and I dont know nothing about the things I am reviewing since sometime. Because I dont think it makes any kind of sense to argue with you, I will not do so. Keep your opinion, do whatever works out for you and spend to much money on oversized PSUs. Its not like that you could get a perfectly fine PSU or less money and spend the savings on something else, lets say the PMDG 777-300 expansion. Anyhow, let me ask you just one thing: Do you really think its a great thing - a sign of high quality - that the PSU isn´t shutting off, even at way higher loads than it was rated for? Dont you think thats the moment when a safety feature should kick in and stop your expensive hardware from dying by excessive power? The answer is: A qualtiy PSU delivers a little bit more then it was rated for and if its too excessive it automatically performs a shut-off to protect your computer from further damage. And if an electronics expert recommends you to get at least 750 Watts for a modern system which is not taking anymore then 400 Watt in worst case (with one GPU), it only shows either how "confident" he is about the quality of the PSU he is recommending, or that the paycheck he received for that statement wasn´t too bad. Just use your own brain, do the maths, read more than just review from one source and you might get a clou that you dont need 750 Watts. But I guess that will never just never happen, because its just so much easier to copy the oppinion of somebody else, then educate yourself. Nils
  20. First off: Corsair is far away from beeing a top-notch PSU. It might be a top-notch soldering iron, but thats it. Most of their PSU are single rail, which isn´t good at all for your components. Seasonic is a different story though, some of their product lines are good, some are really cheap. @777simmer So how can you explain then, that I neither have, nor had any stability problems at all, although I am far away from a 750 Watts PSU (which is in fact more than my SLI-Titan SetUp uses)? Believe me, aslong as alatz is not using the biggest crap of a PSU, he will be fine with what he has right now. Also. from what I understood, he hasn´t overclocked yet. The 3.9 Ghz is just the default boost clock, which is pre-set by Intel.
  21. Its way more then needed, if the power supply used in this build is a quality power supply. Lets do the maths here real quick: i7 4770 K TDP = 84 Watt GTX 770 TDP = 230 Watt HDD, SSD, MoBo, Ram ~ 50 Watt So your maximum should be around 364 Watt. I am running a system which is pretty much identicall, except my CPU (i5 4670K) is overclocked to 4.5 Ghz. At that state the CPU takes 120 Watt. So my maximum power comsuption is not more then 400 Watt and a high quality PSU like the BeQuiet E9 490 Watt CM is fully capable of handling such a system. No need for anything more then 500 Watt nowadays, unless you are running a SLI/CF Set up Nils
  22. Thanks for the hint of disabling the HD 3D Cockpit Textures. I see no diffenrence at all, but fps increased dramatically. I now get at my "number 1 worst fps aiport" KIAD from FlightBeam steady 35 FPS with FSGRW,REX and all the other good stuff - before I had 28 FPS. So, thanks for that.
  23. Guys, whenever you have a problem with the T7 keep in mind: The problem is you. Overclock? Your OC is Unstable Add-Ons in FSX? You have a wrong fsx.cfg Freezes in Mid-Flight? Your PC is not powerful enough T7 is not following the descent? Your FMC set-up is wrong Its all about you and your faults guys. No way there might be someting with a PMDG product, don´t even consider to think about it. To me this was a pretty expensive lesson. A good looking T7 for FSX? Awesome - but not worth a penny if it even crashes on a flight from OMDB to EDDM with a naked FSX. And yes, I deleted (simply formatted it) everything on my 256 GB FSX SSD just to see if the PMDG T7 would work on a freshly installed FSX. No, it wont. Have fun with your visually great T7 which is only usable for short-haul.
  24. Hi Jim, thanks for your answer! I guess my pc is not as low end as you thought. The Specs are (some of the were also stated in the Video description): i5 4670 K @ 4.5 Ghz GTX 770 8 GB Ram 1600 Mhz CL9 Asus Z87-Pro C2 Corsair GT 180 GB for Win7 64-Bit Samsung 840 Evo 250 GB for FSX only About the tweak story: yes I do use tweaks, but I also have a untweaked version of my cfg. With the tweaked version the FSX is running just fine and I get upto 120 FPS with the T7 at FlyTampas Dubai, just for example. With all the same settings but just the original cfg I hardly get 20 FPS. So they might not work for everyone, true. But, looking at the results, they seem to work for me. Also I get the crash with either one version of the cfg. I use an external 4*20 lcd display to have a look at the usage of my ram, cpu, gpu and all the temperatures and I also log these values to find any possible bottleneck/reasons for crashes. You can get an idea of that right here, altough its in german. At the time of the freeze the ram was used up by 56%, core 1,2,3 were roughly around 80% and core 4 was at idle. The GPU was around 80%. Temperatures were also absolutley normal (below 60 degree celsius). So I really don`t have a clue where these problems are coming from. About the video, as I stated: For some reason YouTube just shows the file until the moment when the T7 went into the freeze. Just at the very end, where I copied a waypoint to another position, the whole plane froze. My guess is, that because it is a picture/still, YouTube thought its unimportant, and cutoff the video right there. I want to say you, really not in a offensive way, that you seem to me a little bit ignorant. You are strictly pointing at me and my - as you say - faulty system and don`t even consider that there might be a problem with the T7 that causes the problem. @AndreRotate: Thank for your input. I also had the thought - just wait. But I wasn`t as patient as you. I waited probably around 10 minutes, but sure not 30 minutes. If the problem should return, I`ll just try to wait longer Anyhow it is, in times of SSD etc., really misterous whats going on. I mean, I am wondering whats causing the freez. If I would run FSX of a classic HDD I could somehow understand it, maybe he has to reload something, but its running of a SSD, so yeah, its really weird. So with greetings from germany, Nils
  25. Same problem here, I also have it on video. Already happend the second time to me - and that on my second flight ever with the T7.... :( The video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=987ibrSx9ig My FSX is running on a Samsung 250 GB Evo SSD. As Add-Ons I use the PMDG T7, REX, Ultimate Traffic 2, Flight Beam Washington, Super Traffic Board and I record it with Fraps. My Joystick is a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Hopefully there is a fix availble soon, because in this stage, the T7 is just not usable for me. PS: Oh youtube....they stop the video in the moment FSX freezes. Actually the video is 23 seconds longer, but the last 23 seconds are just a still picture with sound. SO the same problem as you had
