Offline since last update

Featured Replies

I tried to launch MSFS today, didn't run it for some time. Steam made a quick update and the sim started without doing any update, and it started.
The only difference I saw is a nice image of London appearing at the beginning of the loading process.

The problem is that it always tells me I am offline, maybe this is why the update is not really done and it doesn't go through the step "Checking for updates". I tried to log out and log in again but it didn't change anything, whatever I do I am offline. And I can tell you my Internet connection is not broken.

Am I the only one having this problem?

You not alone - reports on MS Forum .. all over the world. It was fine earlier today.

Give it some time - should come back.

Thanks for the info.

In my opinion, this is unacceptable. Each time they release an update, EACH TIME, some of us have problems and cannot fly anymore. I cn understand they want to enrich the sim with more detailed regional scenery, I am happy about this, but adding simulation data shouldn't change the sim itself.

And as the updates so often cause problems, they should be optional.

That's just my opinion...

you dont need to install the uk package that part is optional.

the update has to be mandatory,  its multiplayer.

besides that for most ppl no issues.

Good, I am happy to know it is optional.
But I still don't understand why it says I am offline, and I am not the only one in that case:
https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/reported-anyone-else-getting-a-connection-lost/366767

Maybe the servers are down?
I would be surprising for Azure servers...

Same here...

It was fine after the update, got into a flight, then i thought, oh well, let's reboot first before this flight so i did, then... no internet connection.

Last time i had this the only option i found was to re-install from scratch, then it worked flawlessly. But i ain't gonna go that road anymore.

If they brake it due the update, they sure can fix also (BTW, since we can post on the forum it means we have internet connection!!!  😡 ).

Same issue here ... will give it a try later on.

@wim123 But the report: I'm offline is annoying, because therefore the content manager is empty !!!! No change to update optional content.

I can do all things in the net at the same time, only MSFS has its own opinion .....

Best regards

I'd rather not think about a full re-install, it takes soooooo much time even though I have a high-speed connection.

If it appears to be the only solution, I will do it, but I'd rather have it fixed another way.

The ausflightsim London live stream is reporting the servers ae coming back up ...

Same here ... can't connect to any of the servers. I've already installed the UK update (earlier, while the servers were still up) ... so I can fly. BUT - does that mean my Bing and/or Photogrammetry won't be working?

just wait a bit, i wouldnt do a full install to hastily.

about the offline issue., have ppl tried using one of the other servers?

and ofcourse it always can always be a real offline..sometime servers need to go offline to update them.

just a bit of patience is required, i havent even done the update yet, planned for today tho.

MSFS Support tweeted 5 minutes ago .. They are aware of the issue and working to resolve. Relax people ....
