Without all the repeated complaints, begging, and Scooby Snacks it never would have been made right!

You should refrain from spreading unfounded rumours like this. The issue is clearly marked among the unfixed known issues list that was updated the minute the patch went live. So to make this abundantly clear for everyone: It was NOT fixed in the patch.

It is fixed.

They actually wrote this:

Quote

A crash occurs when loading into 3rd Party Community content with Bing Data enabled.

The team has not seen this issue with the new update out today, but please report it if you still have this issue after updating to 1.13.16.0.

and to fully understand it, it is necessary to read the second sentence as well as the first.

OK

To rephrase it more correctly.

The numerous addons that were previously causing me personally to get CTDs on my system every time I logged in now work fine with the Bing data post-patch for me on my system, however the issue is not officially fixed .

Just did a check on the M/S servers and they are being hammered..  not sure the issue, but they are way under pressure so hopefully it will get resolved..  I just went in from UK and got connected.

Issue?  I suspect because EVERYBODY on msfs is doing update same day.  Not sure how people got to try and fly yesterday because I started msfs 14 hours ago, still have 4G to go.  Forgot it was the 16th, or I would not have started it.  Steam version.  Wondering now if I should remove it and shell out for MS Store version.

I have Steam and the 25 gig update took 30 minutes or so. My internet speedtest shows 62.8 Mbps. I'm sticking with Steam, they know exactly what you have purchased if you ever need to avoid re-buying. I'm not sure MS store has as good customer service.

Same here ... can't connect to any of the servers. I've already installed the UK update (earlier, while the servers were still up) ... so I can fly. BUT - does that mean my Bing and/or Photogrammetry won't be working?

This could be a good thing, it probably means they are fixing issues server side if they are down.

It's clear that is still a "known issue" that remains to be fixed.

You need to post the full quote and not just the part that suits your narrative.. and additionally, many people have been flying last night and today with the Bing live data back on and NOT seen a CTD where there was one before.

The actual quote from the known issues is :-

A crash occurs when loading into 3rd Party Community content with Bing Data enabled.

The team has not seen this issue with the new update out today, but please report it if you still have this issue after updating to 1.13.16.0.

This is correct and indeed perfectly clear, as is Asobo's statement. It is not a "known issue", it is an issue that is no longer occurring. It would be unrealistic to expect Asobo to test every third party addon so that their answer could be definitive but anecdotal evidence shows that the issue is fixed. No amount of posting to the contrary will make the issue come back. If you still have a CTD, the cause will be something else.

I did test it with the sceneries that would give CTD with their cgl files activated and it is indeed fixed.
