Game runs terrible after update for me

Featured Replies

I am not reinstalling 80 gb at the moment.  For me the fps drops are related to photogrammetry since the update.  With it off, I don't get the fps drops.

I turned photogrammetry back on and then used vsync on and fps lock to 60 which gives me 30 fps adjusted, and also switched the monitor to use the 30hrz setting and seems to be ok; is it possibly related to vsync changes in the latest update?

Well. Tried with photogrammetry off (granted first try after the newest patch). It seems like the previous behavior is gone. However I got a new phenomenon: on final to land I get one second pauses every two seconds. Got one pause when F/O called out "five" so that was... rather interesting.

Man, this is beginning to wear me down.

So far sync on fps to 50 giving 30 fps has saved me from the FPS fluctuations with the photogrammetry on.  Will keep testing.

What nvidia driver are you using? I found those pauses happening too. I eradicated some of them by going back to 457.30

However there are still some places where they exist. I can literally fly over Sydney and it’s smoooth, then go to some countryside in Austria and then those pauses you mention start happening.

I rolled back to old failthful for my Radeon X5700XT which is 20.8.3 And it's far better. I still get the occasional drop, but nothing compared to what it's been like since the last World update

Just as an experiment, anyone experiencing these issues should try restarting their machine with no overclocking (if they have any) and see if that makes a difference.

Well there definitely is something going on. Just flew the default C208 over rural parts in Italy and got the frame drop for 20-something seconds before jumping up to good levels again. Good weather. Have never encountered this before.
