February 28, 20215 yr Hi all, It happened to me a couple of times since the last updates. As mentioned, no pattern at all. February 28, 20215 yr I only get this with photogrammetry on. I have been flying with photogrammetry off for a few days now. No problems at all and the scenery is just as good if not better. No more melted buildings or sudden performance drop. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. February 28, 20215 yr Author Wow I was not expected this amount of responses. 😂 Anyway, I have only had a chance to do one flight after the update and I just noticed it there. It was from KDTS to KORL and taken off it was choppy and landing. Oh my goodness. I was in the SR22 and was cruising at 12k feet. Went to descent about 65 miles from airport and once I got below 7k feet that was it. The last 25 miles were just choppy as you can imagine. Landing on as not butter as every time the FPS caught up I was 50 feet further down the run way. I miss pre-update. 5700X3D 64GB DDR4-3600MHz Gigabyte 4070 Super Game installed on 980 PRO Main display Gigabyte M27Q X 27" 1440p 240Hz
February 28, 20215 yr Its amazing to me that every single update requires a couple of setting changes to get performance back to where I was before the last update (at least in my case) with very little information from Asobo on what changed. Its always up to the community to explain the changes and what I might have to do on my end to get back to acceptable performance. I have not had one update where I have been able to leave my settings alone......If its not cloud updates its vsync...If its not vsync its changing the way aliasing works...ETC...ETC Edited February 28, 20215 yr by marcg11
February 28, 20215 yr Ok, perhaps these delays are due to photogrammetry. If they continue, I will try with photogrammetry off. Simon

I have photogrammetry off since weeks. Don’t miss it. And have fluid FPS. Don’t ask for numbers though. I don’t know them as I couldn’t care less. If it’s fluid and smooth then I am happy. On my 12 yr old system msfs is more fluid and smoother than FSX ever was Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

If you don't like it or it doesn't work, it takes moments to switch it back. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). March 1, 20215 yr I will do one flight with it on and one with it off and let you guys know about the fps drops. Simon

March 1, 20215 yr Although yesterday I wasn’t measuring frames I could see that movement was very fluid for me. That was until late on when I was measuring frames, on a quick flight in the Waco heading towards LXGB I had a sudden loss in FPS from the low 30s to single digits, this was also replicated in menus. I’ve absolutely not had that issue before - very strange. running at 2k with 150 render scaling, Ultra, High cockpit refresh, no motion blur.
