Featured Replies

A preview of the custom ATHR, custom engine model and the custom autopilot, but where are the spikes? 👀

Did you guys notice each engine is unique? Different EGT / N1 / N2 / FF. Those tiny variances will work wonders for the simulation.

Hats off to the men and women behind this mod. They're absolutely peerless.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

I also saw a video from Sim pilot stating the electrics are now simulated in far more detail now as well.. FBW are continuing to devlop the A320 at an astoninshing rate.. well done and thanks to all involved.

Just searched it up! Good stuff.

Maybe one step forward more to achieve a real autopilot vertical navigation?
Outstanding work!!!

Yeah, that is the result of the custom engine model, it does that.

So is the SDK not ready? 😜

As I said on their discord: they've already surpassed Aerosoft's version and approaching the point where they'll be within striking distance of FSLabs. Slow and steady wins the race.  Also, let's continue to give credit to the great visual model that Asobo provided.

Indeed, the difference for me is that, they are doing all these awesome stuff out of passion and hence strive for realism. Not only that, they are approachable and humble people that personally I like to chat with on their discord 🙂. And the awesome thing about open source, anyone is welcome to help no matter what !

Based on what?
the project has recently released previews on their custom ATHR and electric systems. But that alone is a far cry from striking distance of FSL.

Disclaimer: I envy the work the FBW team is doing. It's unique and they deserve all praise they get. But the FSL Airbus is just shoulders above anything MSFS has to offer.

The op references the AP. I guess that does not include the navigation logic (like custom nav logic from WT).

Nope, I think that is being worked on at the moment

Give it a year or so and then we can revisit this point. Just the same thing with Zibo mod vs PMDG :).

The FBW team also have the distinct advantage of not providing their mod complete with deeply immoral, and criminal malware.

And it is for free (of course donations are welcome).
