Even so you do have the option to turn PG off and go with the base AI autogen which is still better than the default xplane assets because Blackshark's system matches roof shape and colors from the satellite imagery, something strategies relying solely on OSM cant do. PG vs autogen is a tradeoff, least in msfs you have a choice to use the one you prefer.

I like giving joy I guess. I find that pretty dull, boring and dated, and prefer to recognize the actual buildings in the town. I flew over the university I went to (which happens to fall in a PG area) and could make out the fraternity letters of the house I lived in back in the day. Does that matter to flying a plane .. nope.. not at all. Is it really cool to see when virtually visiting a location?... you bet.
