I think we are agreed that, in the GPS100 panel, Just Flight incorrectly ties the GPS to the autopilot and the HSI without a designated NAV/GPS switch in the panel.

The confusion arises from the two ways they could fix it:

1. Add a NAV/GPS switch (which I agree is the better option)

2. Untie the GPS from the autopilot and HSI (permanently)

What they have delivered thus far is unfortunately not up to "real world" standards..

At the very least, "the invisible clickspot" should start up in NAV mode, not GPS mode, as it does now.. and then, the provided Tutorial might at least work.

If you state saving it in NAV mode it will start up in NAV mode.

Lets hope that the lobbying efforts to add a NAV/GPS switch bear fruit...

The "invisible clickspot" is not a good solution..  And I am pretty sure that the original airplane that Just Flight looked at did not have such a thing,, 😀

Thanks for the updates guys. Actually I managed to get the VOR "working", I think I was simply out of range / light of sight, so that was my mistake.

Also interesting to hear about what the autopilot is coupled to. My understanding was that hitting the CDI button switches between GPS navigation and VLOC. I've been using this to switch from my enroute journey on pilotedge (sometimes manually heading a heading bug with VOR if I need a specific radial.

From what I can tell, I have all the autopilot capacity I need. What is missing from now knowing about the hidden click spot? Is it perhaps referring to the ability to follow a radial off of the nav 2 radio?

This only applies to the GSP100 version of the panel.

If you have a GNS or GTN with a CDI button in the panel, you are OK.

Yes, we all know that.   But it seems that their airplane does not have one.

Here's hoping they add one, at least for those who wish to use the GPS100

Maybe they can work this out in time for the release of the Arrow IV.

I posted this in another thread a well ... but interestingly if you install the GNS750 mod in your community folder it automatically adds the 750 as an option on the tablet of the JF Arrow.

Yes, it does, but sometimes it reverts to GPS mode. Then also the yoke is visible again that I had switched to invisible.
