May 1, 20215 yr My plane crashes when I open the storm window while in flight, similar to the Mooney and Seminole. In Chocks video, it didn't crash. How? Chock, can you please let me know if your crash damage was off when you flew with the storm window open?
May 1, 20215 yr The other query I have is re the provided Autopilot. Will it follow the Yellow Brick Road, ie, the Magenta line, & climb at set VS , then level out at set Altitude? T45

What CF settings would you use for: Engine run up; Take Off, Climb; Cruise at say 18,000'; Descent; Landing & then Taxi/Shutdown?? T45 The included manual mostly has (for various stages of flight) the cowl flap setting listed as 'as required', so I guess you'd go off what the gauges were reading to keep the CHT where it should be for the recommended engine settings although it does specify having them full open when taxying in and prior to shutdown. I guess looking up a TSIO-360 manual would tell you the recommended temps to stay at or under if you didn't just want to stay in the green and not bother actually looking things up. Generally speaking, staying under the recommended temps is not a bad idea, since the CHT sensors on most aeroplanes are probably +/- 25 degrees off the mark in terms of genuine accuracy. So with things like that, on the real thing I'd learn the best temperature to go for on that engine type and then be careful to not drop too fast below it or raise up too fast to it, because it tends to be extreme temp shifts which do the damage to cooling fins and such. Well in fairness, it took AT absolutely weeks to get their patch out for that thing, so on balance we perhaps ought to afford Carenado the same opportunity to do so as well given that this thing has been on sale for less than 24 hours at this point. Don't forget that when it came out, you didn't even need to open the canopy or the DV panel on that P.149, because your pilots were halfway out of the cockpit on the external view and it was like that for weeks before it was patched, and it sounded like you'd forgot to lower the landing gear when it touched down, and there were radio issues, etc. I'm sure even Carenado can beat the lead time it took for the patch to come out on that P.149; it's why I waited so long to do a review of the P.149 for my channel, in order to show it in its best light. So don't get me wrong, I love that AT P.149, but it wasn't without its faults when it came out. Edited May 1, 20215 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Truth be told, it isn't ever going to happen. The Mooney has the same issue and it's been out months - as is the Seminole. Anyway, its a minor issue. The rest of the plane is very nice.

As you say it's a minor issue a sim MEL item if you like. The plane itself has many positive aspects which outweigh such niggles. May 1, 20215 yr My panel shadowing is all blurry and 'orrible - just on the Seneca - nice and crisp on everything else. What I done wrong in settings? Please write. . .

Does that block use of GPS mods like the pms50-gns530 mod available on GitHub? It seems to work in other models like the Mooney. I honestly don't know, I avoid using mods to be honest. I suspect that's why my sim never crashes. The hot screen on the windsheild. It is a selectable/deselectable option? I noted that there was still a "Next >" at the bottom of the yoke tablet's screen-2 and that you did not view past that screen-2. Not as far as I'm aware, it's just there all the time I think. It's on the real aeroplane too of course most of the time so there's no real reason why you'd want to remove it. The 'next' screen is the checklists (two pages, landing and take off). I see another member asked about the autopilot's capabilities in regard to managing a ROC and acquiring a target altitude. Can you verify what the capabilities are? The autopilot can do all of the stuff an S-TEC 55 does and it also works with the hardware Logitech/Saitek autopilot panel (I tested it). The Seneca V has a rate of climb of around 1,500 FPM, but that blocks the forward view a bit on things such as the Seneca, so most pilots of the real thing drop that rate a bit to perhaps 1,250 FPM at about 130 knots since the view ahead is better. Is there an annunciation light for the parking brake? I did not see one either on or off as you released the brake. There's a push pull knob to operate the parking brake on the lower left of the panel which provides a visual indication, and of course the pedals depress when it is applied too, so there is no need for an annunciator light with those two visual indicators. Are there any functional cabin pressurization controls? Nope, because the Seneca is not pressurised, you would wear a canula or a mask and breathe bottled oxygen if taking it up high. Of course we don't have to in the sim, so it doesn't matter. I noticed for a while the pitot heat caution was lit. Later it was not. I did not catch the location of the pitot heat switches. Where are they located? The pitot heat switch is on the panel below the Garmins, it is the switch on the extreme right, next to all the anti-icing/de-icing control switches, since it is sort of related to them.
