The Tupolev Tu-134 may compel you to learn Russian!

Interesting. But Tupolev was Russian was it not? I just don't want it at the moment. A personal thing.

Lenin was Jewish, Staling was Georgian, and yes Tupolev was Russian. Nationality doesn't really define who you are .

Neither does ethnicity (or "race", as the Americans use to call it). Lenin was a ruthless socialist, Stalin a psychopathic dictator and Tupolev built some fine aircraft. What you do, defines who you are.

I can understand your argument very well since I do have a personal thing too: not spending any money on sceneries made by russian developers anymore.

I loved Digital Designs sceneries for P3D and it's definitely not the devs fault of the ongoing Invasion in Ukraine but one of the minor things I can do for people in UA is to minimise the amout of cash flowing to RU.

Since DD is a Russia based company (and Evgeny hopefully turns a profit with his outstanding sceneries!), russian state gets taxes off his profit (I assume).

Not sure about the Tu-134, I don't know if my flying skills are good enough to handle this plane or if I should stick to Airbus 😅

I am sure the Ukranian dev would appreciate the support if and when he releases this airplane.

Maybe with a slight tweak to the OP's thread headline...  If the cockpit labels were in Ukrainian, I might be 'compelled' to consider it.
A lot of similarity between the languages I know, but a slight change can make all the difference.  It would to me anyway.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

This. I'm honestly a bit baffled.

This is another plane I really want to try. The dev put his heart and soul into this addon and you can tell from every video just how much he cares about a quality product. I will absolutely support his efforts in this regard, and I hope for the best.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

I think the various Ukrainian devs need all the help they can get.

The main Ukrainian aircraft company is Antonov though apparently a lot of their facilities are now destroyed.

It is worth noting that both Ukraine and also a lot of actual NATO member countries fly Mikoyan-Gurovich/Mig and Sukhoi aircaft.

I have spent hours on the phone with this developer. You could not find a nicer, more passionate and dedicated individual to represent what Tu-134 is. He has walked me through all of the quirks and questions I had after I bought the P3D version... I have flown the MSFS version a few months back and it was really coming along nicely. I really do hope this project sees completion.

He really needs all the help he can get financially. On his YouTube channel, there is a way to donate. I am sure he would appreciate it. I encourage you all to give this wonderful gentleman all the support you are able to give. I look forward to him completing this project when circumstances allow. Right now, his country is under attack by a ruthless regime. What Putin has done to the people of Russia first and foremost is not the least of his crimes. TU-134 has nothing to do with Putin or Russian Federation as it stands today. Those are VERY different things. I am Russian by ethnicity and though I have left that country 30 years ago this year, it's VERY easy to differentiate Russia and Putin's Russia. Two different beasts. Neither is easy. One has lots of merits. The other is a scumbag and war criminal. He doesn't have any hope of claiming Tupolev's accomplishments.

The dev is the same person he always was and deserves to be treated as such.  The Government of Russia has some severe accounting to do as do those in a position to influence it. I do not want this aircraft as it does not fit the profile of aircraft I want to fly but if I did I would buy it.  My sympathy goes to all in the Ukraine as it does to all those in the many other countries round the world that are currently in conflict.  Sadly a long list.   When will we ever learn.

On a somewhat pedantic note, the mere mention of US politics in these forums results in action by the moderators and yet some of the recent comments appear to be much more extreme.
I personally have no view except to deplore war in all its hideous forms and all of those who start them.

I've always loved the Tu-134 and Ilyushin Il-76.

One of my preferred aircraft to plane spot at Lisbon airport in the late sventies / early eighties on the last century was the IL-62 ( aka VC-10-ovsky ).

They started flying to Portugal after the 25th April Revoltution in 1974.

Never found a good rendition of the IL-62 for fs9 or fsx. Would love to have one for MFS or X-Plane.

I remember taking a shot of a BOAC VC-10 next to an IL-62 at two contiguous parking slots at LPPT 🙂
