May 25, 20215 yr I can't see the improvement mod being compatible with this, as there are so many flight model and engine changes that will clash, but hopefully he can make it compatible over the next few days. May 25, 20215 yr Flying a 1 hour short trip CYHZ > KLEW right now and all seems to work fine. Removed the improvement mod before the patch and have 0.7.0 of the wt G3000 mod that works as expected. The engine torque and ITT behaved differrently and it does not seem so prone to over torque at least. But I am in no way an expert on the real behaviour of the TP. Less icing when passing some thin clouds and more "just a tad" that I have not seen before where it bogged down pretty fast... May 25, 20215 yr Hmm - getting a bit of an odd behavior here... It is in NAV / FMS mode and should follow the path that is in Little Nav Map. But it is not... Looks the same on the in plane G3000 but took the screenshot from LNM as I am in VR... When I disengage the autopilot and turn over the actual route on the MFD the PFD alignment for the FMS show that I am off to the right of the course. So when I engage AP in FMS mode again it turns down and flies pretty far from the course... Starting to think if I need to set some magnetic deviation or similar that I have never done before? Not seen this behavior before like I said. May 25, 20215 yr OK - realized that something was messed up with the ILS 04 approach to KLEW. So it was heading straight to KLEW instead of going to AUG. Could be the latest patch, the G3000 mod v 0.7.0, or the fact that I am running Navigraph nav data in MSFS (latest version 2105 rev 1) and did the plan in Little Nav Map. When I delete the flight plan in flight and try to add the ILS 04 approach to KLEW it will not follow it and it gets white... Might also be me that do not know what I am doing 😉 Ryzen 9800X3D | Gigabyte X670 Aorus Elite AX MB | 64GB 6000Mhz DDR5 | RTX 5080 GPU | Windows 11 Pro x64 | Virpil T-50 Throttle | T50 CM2 Grip + WarBRD | VKB T-rudder MK IV | Asus PG279Q 1440p | Pimax Crystal Light VR | Samsung 980 Pro as system disk and Samsung 990 Pro M2 SSD for games

May 26, 20215 yr In flight, with an air load on the propeller, there should be no torque lag, they need to fix this. May 26, 20215 yr After cursory testing the basic engine behaviour is finally plausible, startup according to checklist is possible, handling seems fine, however the landing gear still has no noticeable drag. Ground steering needs some improvement too as tight turns are hard to achieve, even with differential braking. So I think if the mod is changed by deleting the engine related items it's still valuable - and I'm missing my co-pilot. May 26, 20215 yr Author There are two basic mods for the TBM 930: 1) Jaydee's improvement mod (not updated recently) 2)mixMugz's mod - this is the mod that allows opening of the cabin, cockpit, and baggage compartment doors. I can live without the first mod, assuming Asobo has improved some of the parameters of the TBM as per the patch notes. But I want to retain mixMugz's mod's ability to open doors. Hopefully, that function can be repackaged as a separate mod. The mod also allowed for tighter turns during ground steering.
May 26, 20215 yr Who care of tighter turns and opening doors , now the TBM and the other stock planes fly better than before. 🙂 Edited May 26, 20215 yr by Claudius_ Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
