They plan on releasing the X-Box branch improvements to PC at the same time as the X-Box release (no date yet), there will most likely be beta tests for that update before then.

Right now they're working on the G1000 NXi, and an early-access version will be made available in early June. One of the additions is the DME arc.

So, it was a quick tease, but the intent with the new flight planning technology is to fly every kind of leg. This would include procedure turns, DME arcs, RF legs, holds, manual terminations, etc. It will also have a full coupled VNAV simulation and full RNAV. Basically, think the flexibility of the CJ4 flight plan system, but a great deal more advanced, even. Full flight path vectorization is performed in real time every few seconds, just like in the real unit. So for relative legs, you'll see them move around as you change speeds, and likewise you will see turns from leg to leg compute in real time as well.

We'll be launching an early access version around the end of June or beginning of July that you'll be able to just download from the Marketplace, and it will be kept up to date there. So, it should be a better user experience than needing to grab stuff from GitHub. We're really excited, and we'll start showing a bit more of what the new NXi can do in the next weeks.

Another Q&A with no update on the relationship with PMDG and how it is going. I know this should be an update from Randazzo on this, but given the statue of PMDG in the community, you'd hope they'd mention there's some progress there. Jorg has been pretty open talking about the CRJ progress, but on PMDG total crickets.

Yeah but CRJ at the time was pretty close to release.

I don't know if it was close, they openly talked about it in at least three Q&A's leading to the release, but still it's sort of worrying there's absolutely no news about it, that's all I'm saying.

before some guys are starting to ask about AIG 😉 The stuff regarding the first question was discussed between Jörg and myself. regarding the second question (flightplaner) I was a bit off guard... So I need to talk with him about that, before give feedback on that.

I really hope you guys have fruitful conversations. AIG is all I need to feel like I love this sim.

Hey kaiii3, the models/liveries for the Live Traffic is already working? It will only be released when the offline A.I. traffic is ready? Thanks,

Aerosoft is almost first party, they worked with Asobo to distribute the Boxed version, also assisted with the SDK since the beggining. The upcoming Asobo's ATR is also a partnership between the two companies (or with Hans, which is close to Aerosoft anyways). AFAIK, the CRJ was the only add-on they have promoted in different occasions, probably for two reasons, they have a partnership with Aerosoft since the beggining, and the CRJ was the first complex airliner for the sim, which is a accomplishment from a development perspective.

I fully get it, but knowing the magnitude and stature of PMDG in the community (whether people agree or not), you'd think there would be something, but instead it's another month with a stick in the eye. 🙂

PMDG themselves are more discreet. I'm not sure they would like more exposure before the release.
