May 30, 20215 yr At the flightsim store all his products are in the sale now : https://store.flightsim.com/?orderby=date&paged=1&s=taburet+msfs&post_type=product I still am looking for the complete mesh for Germany/Switserland/Austria/France. He is the only one who has made France mesh (15m). What I find remarkable is that his 10m mesh packages are way smaller in the size than the Trogladylus mesh at the same resolution. So I was wondering if the Taburet meshes do not cover all of the countries. And it looks that the FSDT Swiss mesh is also larger in size at the same resolution. Swiss mesh : Taburet 10m : 424 mb FSDT 10/20m : 2 Gb ( 2 meshes / I guess aroun 400-500 m’n for 20m and 1,5-1,6 Gb for 10m ) Troglodylus 20m : 553 mb As I want an improved mesh for Europe including France I am interested in his mesh. But if not everything is covered than it is a nogo. Or has he found a way to show the same results with smaller files ? 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
May 30, 20215 yr I am surprised Troglodylus didn't make one for the French Alps since he did for almost the alpes parts except for France, maybe he is working on one 🤔 Regarding Taburet, we know from the otjer thread, Troglodylus and FSDT use the heightmap method that is generated by the awesome in tool in FSDeveloper forum which better and more efficient I guess, but Taburet, no idea. Perhaps you can ask them first if they use CGL or hightmaps? AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
May 30, 20215 yr I cannot answer your question, but I'm interested in good mesh for the entire Alpes too. Currently I have Troglodylus 20m mesh for Italy, Austria and Switzerland installed. Unfortunately, performance is an issue and it seems to me that it got worse with the latest WU. In some areas it is a true stutterfest in other areas it performs good and stutter-free. I have no idea what causes those big differences. Takeoff from Samedan towards North is perfect. T/O from from LOWL (->South) or LOWI (->West) gives sever stutters. It seems more or less independent from other add-ons being installed or not. As far as I understood, there are two methods, CGL or BGL based. The latter can be equipped with exclusions for default and add-on airports. Do we already know what kind of mesh the Taburet add-on is delivering? - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

He probably meant that they took 1m/p data as a base to develop the updated France mesh. Most default mesh is around 50m mesh. If it now is 20 m/p then it would be a nice upgrade. Taburet has made 15 m/p mesh out of the 1m/p data. So why making a 15 m/p mesh to sell if the default is already 20 m/p ? 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0

If it is indeed 5 m/p mesh that we see and not mesh that is taken from 5 m/p data, than France/BeNeLux has been updated a lot and is more detailed than all Addon DEM packages.. And then the 10m Alps ( Swiss / Austria ) mesh is less detailed and already taken a hit on performance .... May 30, 20215 yr Commercial Member the problem with today msfs press articles are too generalized; exactly as the one above 1 - no map of upgraded terrain areas 2 - talk about 5 m mesh france than fly over the alps; do not take long to see is not there; of if there nobody know where it is; yet they write articles without documenting what they write about with images well here is the resolution of french alps a spot picked just to check look more like a 30 m resolution and i am being generous https://ibb.co/yF1KYY7

May 30, 20215 yr A map showing mesh resolution of the base sim including world updates is a good idea.
