Sim Rate

Featured Replies

How can one display the sim rate? After hitting the "R" key plus the "+" key the sim rate doubles each time this key combination is hit. But is it possible to display the selected rate on the FS2020 display? In P3D and FSX this could be accomplished by hitting Shift-Z if I remember correctly..

Thanks,
Hans

You can't see it yet.  This display of the sim rate is missing, but it was asked for at the last Q&A and they understood the issue.  Hopefully it will be a quick fix in one of the future updates.

Use FSSimRateBandit - works brilliantly

Thanks/ I hardly use sim rate acceleration but today, at last, I gave it a shot and missed the old Shift-Z combination. To make sure I was back at normal rate I hit "R and -" more times than I hit "R and +"  🙂

Are we talking about two different things, sim rate and FPS?   Shift Z displayed FPS in P3D.

Thanks CJ, I will head over and get that mod and use it till Asobo comes up with a built-in feature.  (I only used sim rate acceleration in FS2020 for the first time today and missed the display feature we had since the FS2 days. (Yes, I'm that old)) 🙂

We're talking Sim Rate here. Speed up simulation rate by 2,4,8,16 times etc. Not FPS. If I remeber correctly sim rate also was displayed by hitting Shift-Z in the "old" simulators? Or did my memory left me in the dark now?

I never used accelerate rate so I don't know, but with shift Z, the FPS showed up in the top left. The only way to see FPS now is in developer mode,  which i don't like to use.

Upper right I think, shift-z data in upper left.

Don't accelerate time as much as I used to, and only in cruise now. SimRateBandit works well for what I need......

You can either use the chronograph in the cockpit or on the GPS to judge it.
