FS2Crew Weekend Update - 17 July 2021!

FS2Crew Weekend Update for 17 July 2021,

Some important news:

1. The PMDG 777 (P3D V4/5) version of FS2Crew has been updated to v3.6.  It corrects a few issues with ground services interaction associated with the last major PMDG update (PMDG changed a lot of stuff around).

The FS2Crew website and Simmarket have it on the server.  Other 3rd party vendors should have it on their servers shortly.

2. Next week we start the big move to our brand new web-site!

Important points about the website change over:

1. We are not migrating user accounts and the current product line to the new FS2Crew website.

With 15 years worth of products (too many to count almost) and a huge number of user accounts that go back to the early 2000s, migrating would be a nightmare.

So we're starting clean and fresh.

However, we will be maintaining the current website as a Legacy website for downloads only  So if you want to access your old orders, you can still do so via the old website, which as mentioned, will remain available.

Please note that on the new website, you will need to create a new user account.

2. When we launch the new FS2Crew website (which by the way features the latest web tech and looks 100 times more modern than the current website), our individual FSX and P3D FS2Crew products will no longer be available for sale.

Flight Crew A320 for MSFS will no longer be available for sale either since the FBW version is the one you will want (a big discount is coming, so worry not).

3. As we start the migration process, there will be times when the website is unavailable.  As mentioned before, if you need access to your current downloads over the next week, get them now unless you want to wait.  If you send me a support ticket saying "Bryan, I can't access my download", I'm just going to have to tell you to wait.

Have a nice weekend!  Next week should be a big week!

4. As a reminder, our clearance sale is still on.

Bryan, will only current Flight Crew A320 for MSFS users (like me) get this big discount or is this discount valid for everybody? The "50% off everything" discount is a bit confusing here 🙂

Hans

Kind regards,

50 percent off coupon code (CLEAR50) only works on the current website site.

Once we make the official switch to the new site, the coupon codes will stop working.  You won't be able to buy FS2Crew products anymore on the current website.

Don't worry, for FBW A32NX, we're offering a big discount (but it'll only be sale on the new website).

Flight Crew A320 and the FBW A3NX version of FS2Crew are completely and utterly different, but we're still giving everyone the big discounted upgrade path as promised a long time ago.

Hope that helps,

I'm getting sick reading these weekend updates and still nothing regarding UGCX. Since months. It is in Beta since November last year. Those that have the beta have no idea whether anything got fixed they reported.

This was advertised as your flagship and long term product. And it still is, see e.g. the SImmarket announcement "UGCX is a long-term project that will be frequently updated and enhanced..."

I understand you need to move where the MSFS $$ are. But don't forget those that have supported FS2Crew for years and bought ALL of your P3D products incl. UGCX.

Hi Mike,

I know the UGCX v2.3 beta has been in public beta for a long time but the MSFS release side swiped us out of the blue and threw our road map off.

We really expected P3D to be the future.

Aside from a couple little things, there's really nothing wrong with the v2.3 beta.

As mentioned, V2.3 is available to everyone on request.

Anyone who wants it, just send us a friendly support ticket and we're happy to give it out.

Cheers,

does it mean UGCX development is stopped and no FS2Crew updates for P3D products will be available?

Not exactly 😉

When the next UGCX official update is available, you will access and download your order via the current website you see now.

The current website you see now is not going away.

It will still be available.

However, you will not be able to buy "individual" FSX/P3D products anymore.

We're putting them all into a bundle set on the new site for anyone who still uses FSX/P3D and wants our products for it.

We considered trying to migrate the individual FSX/P3D products to the new site, but there's just too many of them.  It'd be a nightmare.

In the last 6 months, we've released more than 7 updates for our various P3D/FSX products.

In fact, we released a 777 update today 😉

We're actually probably one of the last few developers actively releasing any P3D updates, aside from PMDG and FS Labs and a few others.

It would be nice to have an idea of how much the P3D product bundle would be on the new website.

I would like to buy a few modules with the 50% off now, but I fear it will be more expensive than having them all at one price.

so what about UGCX future? what about a "huge road map", "long term project", promised features? almost 2 years have passed from its release.

Hey Bryan, you say that we'll have to create a new user account on your new website, so that means that i'll have to re-buy PBE?

I know I'll be spending the next week.. month... year... explaining this 😉

You do not need to re-buy anything 🙂

You will still have access to the latest version of PBE via the current FS2Crew website now.

The current FS2Crew website is not being shutdown.

Your current FS2Crew account will be still be active.

Your current account is not going away.

We're essentially going to be running two websites.

A new one and the current one.

However, if you have never bought PBE before, then you can only buy it via the new website.

But obviously that doesn't apply to you.

Clear as mud?

Cheers,
