FBW Team have pulled the A32NX from the store

Featured Replies

That means nothing. The marketplace version is the stable version, which doesn't work anymore, so they want to prevent hordes of people complaining on discord about that (which already is happening...). Don't read anything else into that.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

So this means Xbox users cant fly the FBW a320. if i'm correct.

Because it;s freeware this does not hurt Microsoft financialy but it hurts it's reputation.

The partnership between FBW and Microsoft was announced with a lot of fanfare (By Asobo and MS) and now their partner says "you did not deliver, we dont want to be part of that untill you have got your act together"

This is a better move then upvoting an item.

I thought the FBW wasn't available for XBox anyway, but I might be wrong.

I wouldn't read too much into it from either side, or try to make anyone the bad guys.

What some people don't get is that when we complain, we are not "hating" on Asobo or wishing their demise, it's the opposite. We want them to succeed, but at the same time these updates are becoming VERY VERY painful.

I'm sure FBW has a lot more smarts than most of us independent airport devs, so they will probably figure it out, because they have so many people working on the project. Imagine how teams of 1, 2, or 3 people feel after these updates. It's like someone dunking your head in the water and holding it there.

The encrypted the files for the AI traffic?

It's almost like they intentionally want to lock out any community effort in that area.

Shame on MS.

There were community groups working on free tools for model matching and AI traffic.  Encrypting the related files would lock them out as well.

It is again not about the addon, but about the statement this gives on the state of MSFS after SU5...

Encrypted traffic files will put an end to freeware also,

Kaiii doesn't seem to be concerned.

The big issue for AIG right now is that you can't mix FSX legacy and MSFS Native models or the sim will crash.

Maybe it's time for some of the 3DP developers to shine light onto the problems that MS/Asobo are creating for them instead of hiding away on private dev-only servers so everyone can smile and talk about how "MS and Asobo are great partners" in public.

There are not any dev only forums as such, all forums between Asobo and 3rd party developers are now public. They closed all previous private forums we had.

You are more than welcome to check the new forum out since they are public domain, we report issues with the SDK very often to them.

Previous SU5 and after, it is a constant cycle 😉
