Meh, it overpriced and used the word not allowed default generic aircraft models.

Yeah protentional revenue lost for Aerosoft, but meh.

Plus, they obviously had access to the Beta, so they knew it would stop working. but they still decided to go ahead and launch it...

There are not any dev only forums as such, all forums between Asobo and 3rd party developers are now public. They closed all previous private forums we had.

You are more than welcome to check the new forum out since they are public domain, we report issues with the SDK very often to them.

I can't help but feel that that place is like a turbocharged avsim, and not in a good way.

Probably for the best as even the dev version seems to be acting slightly addled (at least for me) and has started wandering off the line, or seeming reluctant to respond to input.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

Don't worry, I've never seen a dev forum like AvSim other than maybe Reddit or something. Most of the dev forums are tame because people are too busy to bicker or they know who the most knowledgeable people are already, so you don't really argue with certain people because 99% of the time you'll end up in the wrong.

Speak volumes about the current state of SU5. I’m sure if your VFR it’s like what problem but for us airline pilots the sim is disfunctional at present.

Unless you think they are just making things up in their statement, FBW made the decision to have it removed, not Asobo.

"Due to Sim Update 5 platform stability issues that are out of our control, we have withdrawn the A32NX from the MSFS marketplace until further notice."

This is not Asobo giving FBW time, quite the opposite, it is FBW giving Asobo time to try to get things straightened out with this update.

Guess they are tired of fixing things that are then broken by the SU's.

I'm not sure I understand that statement.  The sim has never been functional for the airliner environment.  SU5 was never meant to address any of those issues, with the exception of the hotfix for temps at altitudes.  Even at that; the WX engine is in complete re-write by ASOBO.  As far as core basic features of the sim, the 'flight plan manager' has not been fixed as well as a whole host of other things.

If you're talking about FBW, you shouldn't have been using the store version to begin with, you should be on the dev version installed through their own installer.  The store version would have been a very basic version which is still in development (pre-pre-pre alpha-most features not added yet).  Even the dev version doesn't have 99.9% of the features added to make a semi-full featured aircraft.  They are still working on everything.

Quite the opposite actually.
