I've been flying the caravan with the NXi G1000 all weekend, did a flight, returned to menu, started a new one just fine with no CTDs. That's with and without other mods in community folder (I've long since removed the other G1000 WT mod as they suggested).

HP Reverb G2 - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte 3070ti GPU, 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

For me: community folder empty. Install Nxi from store. Select Caravan. Click Fly. Instant CTD. Uninstalled Nxi on store page. Click Fly. No CTD

This is the same for me, I will investigate other aircraft but for now, its causing a CTD about 4/5th the way through load. If I remove it, it will load into sim no problem. There are no other mods in my community folder.

Last night I flew a 3 hour leg in the Caravan, with the NXi..... performed perfectly, no CTDs.

This morning I flew a 1.5 hour leg in the G36 with NXi..... as above.

(I don't have the WT G1000 installed. Just the NXi).

Definitely not causing a single issue for me.

I am having this issue with the DA62 improvement mod. For me it locks up during loading about 3/4 of the way through. But I do have the NGXi installed from the marketplace as well as the wt-g1000 in community folder. I did not realise, although I should have, that you should have one or the other. Thanks for giving me something to look into!

Hi - Yes, unfortunately the excellent DA62X mod does not currently work with the NXi.

It does work with the WT G1000 mod (as long a NXi in uninstalled) but the WT having non-working range buttons on the MFD is a bit of a showstopper for me at the moment.

What issues are you having? I only fly the DA62 modded and am not seeing problems with the range buttons on the MFD. I have freezing issues, but that is a separate issue and the WT guys are working on it.

Strange persistent CTD today.  I can't get a flight out of it.  Happening almost immediatley inside the flight and on one occasion straight after loading into the airfield.  Was all fine yesterday at the same field (Zell Am See).

event viewer showing 'Disk 5 has been surprise removed.' on every occasion.

Strange because I only have 4 disks (2 spinners and 2 NVMe), and they are numbered 0 to 3 anyway in Windows Disk Manager.

I am wondering if these are the new MSFS encryption issues people have been mentioning - maybe making a virtual disk as part of the process.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

MSFS creates virtual discs as needed. It normally closes and deletes them when exiting the sim, but if it crashes unexpectedly, you will find “disc xx has been surprise removed” entries in the event log. These messages are a symptom of the crash, but not the cause.

Righto.  Thanks for that!  So is it something that I am doing?  Or the PC at fault?

I’ve had 3 CDTs since Fridays hotfix - first one since pretty much launch date. The only thing I’ve changed is added the NXI mod. So now I’ve uninstalled it and will test over the next few days - should know pretty soon if it’s resolved this

According to their Discord WT have found an issue with the nxi which can cause freezes. They are working to resolve it and the fix for it will be included in the next update. Suffice to say it's probably best to delete it for now.

There can be dozens of possible reasons for a CTD. Some may be PC-hardware/software related, others not. Matt from WT says that because the NXi is written exclusively in JavaScript, it cannot, (by itself), crash the main sim to the desktop, but that’s not to say that it might not cause some other installed add-on to misbehave that could in turn induce a CTD, or might increase CPU or GPU load sufficiently to cause a CTD.

On my system, I have (so far) had no problem with the NXi on both short and long flights in the C172, C208 and Baron - but that is little comfort to those who are having CTD problems. FWIW, I do not use built-in ATC, AI or multiplayer in MSFS, and I know that those sub-systems have all been implicated in CTDs for some users. Nor do I ever use the default MSFS flight planner other than to select my departure airport and ramp starting position.
