August 29, 20214 yr I have spent two days of flying and I love it. I don't fly rotary wings for a living, but iIt doesn't seems like deviating from laws of physics as understand them IRL While I haven't flown heli IRL I did help heli pilot to transition to fixed wings. And now I totally dig why the only thing the struggle was landing! LOL Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). August 30, 20214 yr @Nyxx Ok, spent some time with this bird learning a lot and I actually take back what I said earlier about holding off on the investment. The trick is actually setting up the automated systems on this bird to really enjoy it. Yes it has Stick Trim known as a.trim but also has cyclic beep trim and collective beep trim. I've now mapped all of them to my HOTAS throttle/stick and flying this thing is a blast. I'd absolutely recommend it, once you fly it as it is supposed to be flown which is very different than any helo I've ever flown it is a blast. It is predominantly flown via automation and you hold a.trim off to manually fly her then release a.trim to re-engage it and have the flight systems take over. I'd equate it to a private jet with rotors in terms of refinement and automation but the ability to hover and takeoff/land everywhere. Pretty amazing bird. August 30, 20214 yr Yep, with the automation it really could be the best way to see MSFS right now... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

August 30, 20214 yr Ive just bought it and had my first flight. It is a step up in quality from the 135, in fact id say the modelling is as good if not better than any I have purchased so far and I have a few. This 145 is perfectly suited for the new X box Heli simmers with all its stabilisation systems, it is so easy to fly. While it does not have the character of the Bell 47 which is a fly by the seat of your pants feel, this plush Helo even in its beta stage is a go get her. For what HPG have given us previously in the 135 this 145 is worth buying on its own strengths. In my opinion £33 (for 3 birds eventually.) is not a huge amount to support these newcomers who have succesfully kick started helo's on this sim.

Funny story, for a long time I refused to set up all the bindings because MFS had a habit of deleting my control profiles after patches. Dave convinced me to do it one night and it completely changed the experience for me - on the H135 we had the tablet with the trims so I had never bothered with doing the bindings, but wow, now in VR and all the trims mapped it really is one of the most immersive experiences possible. Let me plug my favorite helipad pack, really a great area to get a lot of chances to practice your landings and each location has night lighting as well. https://www.flightsim.to/file/10032/los-angeles-helipad-pack1 My name is Steve and I prefer hand flying. August 30, 20214 yr My biggest problem right now is to set course on HSI. Neither knob (PFD,GTN) works as expected now. If I want to track radial I'm in cold water 🙂 I hope things get better later! P.S. I'm using honeycomb bravo quadrant and unfortunately MSFS doesn't binding for "select course" Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). August 31, 20214 yr I would just like to say that when this was first announced, I was a huge skeptic (even though I got countless hours of genuine enjoyment out of the freeware H135), but a couple of nights ago I picked up the H145. I absolutely LOVE it! I have quite a bit of experience flying the DCS Huey and I've got to say, the experience of flying a very competent heli in MSFS is unmatched. There are small aerodynamic things that aren't quite right/don't exist yet but even so, the overall experience is the best I've ever had in a sim. Do yourself a favor and pick this baby up if you enjoyed the H135! Former Child, Current Adult
September 1, 20214 yr I love the Grand Canyon, the freeware KGCN is so well made it makes flying out of there in any direction a real joy. I do a lot of KGCN to Sedona. (note I have never flown a helicopter (GA aircraft only) so please keep it simple😀)
