September 2, 20214 yr While we are on about tours for this marvelous H145 I humbly recommend this Puddin mix. A dash of Orbx NZ Mesh, a good sprinkling of Bijans autumn/fall seasoning and this https://flightsim.to/file/19825/quintin-lodge-new-zealand-pz50 Runway 36 for an impressive maze with a good climb out needing the H145 power, NZ is stunning and so easier to get to in MSFS compared to the very looong flight from the UK. Runway180 exit isn't bad either.
September 2, 20214 yr Hi there, inside the HPG folder is documentation around this - look at the keybindings file. My name is Steve and I prefer hand flying. Co-Founder of Hype Performance Group, MFS 3rd Party Developers Released Projects: HPG H135, HPG H145, HPG Hot Air Balloon
September 4, 20214 yr Fantastic addon - worth every cent -I spent two days flying around in the french alpes - Chambery, Courchevel, Meribel, Mont Blanc etc - everything worked well - no bug, no CTD, and it is still called Beta and going to be improved and optimized. I am a simmer for 30 years now and flying helicopters was allways a annoying experience in FSX and P3D, this swinging and whirling around while taking off and landing made me crazy - the HPG helis are easy to fly and so beautyful! Thanks HPG - I am looking forward the further developement. You can assign every button on your Rhino stick to a function / a key press being used in MSFS. If you bind one button to "TOGGLE ENGINE 4 ANTI ICE" for example, you can use the button to release the A.TRIM ("TOGGLE ENGINE 4 ANTI ICE" is not needed in the helicopter so it can be "misused" for the A.TRIM release). That way you assign all the functions for cyclic beep (ATT ATT and IAS HDG ALT) and collective beep (GTC.H aka HOVER) to buttons on your stick. To use a unique profile only for your H145 you can define a singular profile for the Rhino stick especially for the heli - so it does not get confused with other existing aircraft button definitions. Hope that helps. September 7, 20214 yr Documentation is certainly beta! I'm going through the process of binding my assignments and it's working quite well (indeed a game changer) but I'm now at the point that I need to prioritize what assignments to give the remaining buttons I have available. I have not yet assigned the below commands shown in bold but for anyone who has, could you possibly explain what these actually do? I just gleaned from the post above that GTC/GTC.H is "Hover" mode (and why don't they just call it that)? What about the rest? Does "A.Trim" = Autotrim? AUTOFLIGHT SYSTEMS MSFS BINDING NAME DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION ------------------------------------------------TOGGLE ENGINE 4 ANTI ICE A.TRIM RELEASE (does what exactly?)(You must hold this key, and it should repeat. only set this in MSFS settings, not FSUIPC or SPAD.NEXT)TOGGLE ENGINE 3 ANTI ICE GTC/GTC.H (Okay, this is auto-Hover?)MAGNETO 4 SET AP/BKUP CUT (does what?) MAGNETO 4 OFF AP/BKUP ON - up MAGNETO 4 START AP/BKUP ON - left (up/left/right in respect to what?)MAGNETO 4 RIGHT AP/BKUP ON - right MAGNETO 3 RIGHT AP/UM OFF (does what?) MAGNETO 3 LEFT (Toggle NR HI) (means what in English??) Edited September 7, 20214 yr by Stoopy "That's what" - She
September 7, 20214 yr I haven't assigned those buttons, because, like Stoopy, I have no idea (a few guesses) what those buttons are for. So far no apparent problems from not assigning them. MAGNETO 3 LEFT (Toggle NR HI) (means what in English??) I can help with a couple. A.TRIM release if for when you have AP on but you aren't using one of the main modes like HDG, NAV or ALT - the AP then acts as a force trim and tries to hold the helo at the pitch and roll angle of when you enaged AP. Holding down A.TRIM RELEASE releases the trim and alows you to adjust the pitch and roll and when you release the button the force trim will try to keep you in this new position - I use this mode for most of my flying. (You can also use cyclic beep trim to adjust you orientation in this mode if you only want to make small adjustments) Toggle NR HI enagages a special engine mode that increases climb ability when you are at lower speeds it turns off automatically over a certain forwards speed (about 70-80kts I think) Edited September 7, 20214 yr by Matchstick

September 8, 20214 yr Most of the above documentation shows the control of the H145 Autopilot. There is a „Cyclic“ way of autopiloting - it automates all what you manually do with the cyclic (the right hand stick) and a „collective“ way of Autopiloting (left hand stick - going up and down - hover) to automate hovering. Cyclic autopilot modes are „ATT ATT“ (pitch and roll) and „IAS HDG ALT“ (what is self explaining - can also be switched to IAS NAV ALT“ if you couple the autopilot to NAV or GPQS source). GTC.H is hover mode. You can switch it on (by pressing the shortcut written in the document) provided you are manually hovering and at a limited speed. When in ATT ATT or IAS HDG MODES you can go LEFT, RIGHT, UP and DOWN by using the „cyclic beep“ short cuts - in GTC.H mode you go UP, DOWN, TURN LEFT and RIGHT by the „collective beep“ button presses. It has nothing to do with a „beep show“ it is just to change directions and altitudes in those three autopilot modes. The AP/BACKUP ON starts the APP APP mode and the Autopilot master at the same time. By the AP/BACKUP ON button again you switch to IAS HDG ALT and again you switch back to ATT ATT mode and so on. To stop the AP/BACKUP you use the AP/BACKUP CUT. The AP Master switch starts and stops the AP generally. To use the GTC.H Hover mode the AP has to be off. Try all these modes - play around with it - and you will find your favourate control manners by the time. Sorry for my poor english - hope it brings some light into the darkness of the H145 autopilot system. September 10, 20214 yr Author Quote We have a very brief update video for you this week previewing the H145 Civilian Variant! Much of the interior and exterior modeling is complete as shown in the video and we hope you all appreciate the attention to detail given to items like the emergency locator transmitter system. This transmitter is attached to the aircraft, at the right hand side of the pilot's seat and is used to alert and assist SAR forces in the event of an aircraft distress situation
September 20, 20214 yr Okay guys, I have been very curious about the H145 and had my eyes on it for awhile now. One thing that stood out is the beautiful modeling of this heli inside and out! I'm a sucker when it comes down to the visuals. And 2nd of all, this heli is modern, has a glass cockpit, and I heard one of the easiest to fly and has automation! I would love to have a heli where I can casually fly with just an xbox controller alone. The automation lets me focus on the beautiful scenery that MSFS has to offer. I'm very close to making the purchase, as I've seen some positive comments from some of you in here. I have a few questions and concerns though. Is the H145 easy to fly with just an xbox controller? In terms of automation, can I load flight plans that I created with Little Navmap and have the heli follow it perfectly? Can it do IFR and ILS landings? I also heard that it's capable of auto hovering, how do you guys get it to do that? I would love to know if there are any recommended xbox controller users to get the most from this helicopter. If I can get some answers to those questions, that will hopefully seal the deal for me.
