I was a 14 year old kid,  when I first saw that Vette' dropping out of the sky. They had me at hello.   But you're right,  people will either love it or hate it.

But how many of those lovely planes leave the gate? That's my problem and if I sit at an any airport long enough I get all those labels too but they never go anywhere.

Which is why I finally selected a picture with a plane moving in the foreground.

Actually, a second after I saved this pic, another plane taking off flew overhead, but I was too slow. It's a pretty even exchange of planes coming in and leaving.

EDIT: In the picture I posted just before this one, you can see a plane overhead, steering for the clouds.

None will be leaving the gate. Only aircraft that's moving is that arrival from RJTT. If you sit at heathrow for around 20 min most gates will become full with broken none departing live ai

Hmmmmmm...... Not quite my experience. I absolutely see planes moving out and taking off. (on my machine)

I've been thinking of taking a time lapse. Perhaps with some smooth jazz, in the background. 🎷

You must he the lucky one then wish mine was have you got a screenshot of a ai live traffic departing as everyone I talk to has the same problem

LOL.

I mentioned in another post that sometimes I feel guilty if I'm on the runway too long, because lines of planes have been known to stack up behind me. I might try for a picture of that.

That aircraft your talking about was an arrival aircraft on a go around  from Los Angeles and your at JFK. 

Edit looking at your nice picture again do you mean the aircraft right at the top of your picture if so that would have just spawed in the air around you location. That's how the sim handles moving aircraft they spawn when they are at certain distance to you.

You probably saw a plane that spawned in the air, or arriviving from another airport. Departing Live traffic broke with SU5 and will never leave the gate.

Ok, I have adopted all of your settings, I have placed myself at KJFK at 10:12 PM, Tuesday, August 31, 2021, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).  With the labels turned on I have only seen 2 labels over a total run time of 50 minutes.  One of these aircraft moved.  It went from the middle of the ramp area to a runway, took off, nose dived and then disappeared.

It is safe to say that you and I are having totally different experiences and I will leave it at that.  Thank you very much for your time and effort, we will see what the future brings.

That seems to be the case. I hopped back in the sim, and while a lot of planes are arriving, the ones backing up behind me that I assumed where a mix of Multiplayer and AI seems instead to be comprised solely of other players. Also, lots of aircraft heading upwards are probably actually go-arounds as was said.

This time, instead of assuming, I actually looked at and read all the individual labels, and all the takeoffs seem to be other players.
