Featured Replies

I want to make youtube videos but I just want a basic editor.

something where I can cut video and cut audio

so many of these throw water marks or there other gotchas from "free" software.

any video editors for win 10 that are 100% free?

Ciao!

Have you tried the Windows Photo app?

DaVinci Resolve. As simple or complicated as you make it.

You may want to look at MiniTool MovieMaker at  https://moviemaker.minitool.com  . Or a more basic option is the editor that comes with Windows 10. You can find it in the start menu.

Windows Live Movie Maker will do the trick if all you want to do is cut video and audio. It's no longer included in Windows by defaul so you'd have to download it from the link I put, but other than that it's simple enough You might find it a bit limiting for things like overdubs, but it's very simple and easy to use and more than adequate for very basic videos, and it can export directly to the youtube codec.

As Dazzler says, BlackMagicDesign's DaVinci Resolve is a bit more of a high-end and capable Non-Linear Editor, and it is free unless you want to do really fancy stuff in it (more visual effects, 3D stuff and that kind of thing), at which point there is a more professional payware version of it, but the freebie version is more than adequate for making pretty fancy youtube vids. It takes a bit of getting used to, but it is definitely a pro-level solution and it is made by the company which makes the premier colour-correction software used for most Hollywood movies.

Personally I use Adobe Premiere, but only because I have a full Adobe CC subscription so I'm paying for it anyway, although it too is used for a fair amount of Hollywood movies, so it's pretty good at a what it does, but not free of course.

Great for 4k RAW on your next Best Documentary entry. Possible overkill for a lot of people when there are simpler solutions out there. Just my opinion.

Blender should do the job even thought it''s not the easiest piece of software to work with. However, totally freeware and without any watermarks.
