@everyone Announcing End of Support For all Project Mega Pack Projects

Hi all. It is with a heavy heart that I announce the end of all support for Project Mega Pack Projects. It has been an amazing year and a half and I am so proud of what the team has accomplished here. We have certainly had our fair share of issues, and I wish we could have done more, but sometimes in life it is time to move on. That being said, this isn't the end for me or for our team.

The A330-300 and A321 are open source, and can be found on GitHub Here:
https://github.com/Project-Mega-Pack/amp-aircraft-a330-300
https://github.com/Project-Mega-Pack/amp-aircraft-a321
Feel free to fork and continue work on these projects, and I am excited to see where they go.

Our liveries mega packs will be discontinued, as you can find many awesome liveries on flightsim.to here: https://flightsim.to/

I encourage you to continue following the progress of the 737-800 in Qbit's discord: https://discord.gg/uMU4tQ4ZNu

I will be moving any of my projects over to my personal Discord server: https://discord.gg/gsMTu3q
My primary focus has shifted from Flight Simulation to FiveM server development and the creation of my own historical civil war video game. If you want to keep up with my projects, join me over there

I know you are probably disappointed by this decision, but I have to make this tough choice due to many real life issues and shifts in interests that led to this. This project has been one of the most fulfilling of my life, and I thank you all for being a part of it.

This Discord will remain online to allow downloads of our projects for the time being, but all support and downloads will be ending in the near future. Thank you for the memories and support.

I haven't used the liveries in quite some time.

Same here.

ASUS ROG Maximus Hero XII ▪︎ Intel i9-10900K ▪︎ NVIDIA RTX 3090 FE ▪︎ 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ▪︎ Windows 10 Pro (21H1) ▪︎ Samsung 970 EVO Pro 1TB NVME SSD (OS Drive) ▪︎ Samsung 860 EVO 2TB SATA SSD ▪︎ Seagate 4TB SATA HDD ▪︎ Corsair RMx 850W PSU

Sad to see this project die, but what is the latest regarding RW traffic liveries in the sim? It's apparently been on the cards for months, subject to copyright and licensing issues, but never seems to move forwards.  I guess I will have to go back to replacing the RW textures in AI traffic one by one.

I'm really starting to get a bit fed up with the generic textures for AI aircraft now.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

Sad. PMP A330 is pretty much all I fly.

I follow this closely as I find this type of thing to be greatly immersive.  To date I know of only two pursuits:

AIG

  • These are the folks who developed for FSX/P3d.  I understand they are working on this but are looking to Asobo to accommodate their conversion wishes.  They are attempting to 'convert' vs build up 'new', cant blame them.  However there is is no timeline and worse, no movement.  This will probably be late next year at best.  This should be freeware.

Aerosoft Simple Traffic

  • Was in closed development with good progress.  All worked stopped immediately after the last SU update as some items needed appeared to now encrypted.  Recently they have indicated that work may continue but are very mute on the subject.  If it is developed, possible this year, but next year much more likely.

My wish?

  • As I come from the Xplane side, this package (Traffic Global) was a godsend.  Simple single click install, beautiful presentations, minimal frame hit - just really good overall.

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

For some reason I can't map any controls to the speed brake in either 321 nor 330.

Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10
MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled)
8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled)
32GB DDR4 3000 Ram
500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2

No issue here. I have the Thrustmaster Airbus throttle and joystick combo. I have the throttle axis on the joystick mapped to the speedbrakes. Works on the A330. Assume it would work on the A320 as well.

Ok maybe I'm overlooking something in controls menu?

All I can find is "spoilers" function in the controller config menu.

I've mapped my CH Eclipse Mixture Axis for "0-100% analog spoiler" and it does nothing in either 321/330.

Is this correct?

I can't find a "speedbrakes" value in the menu via search.

*Edit*

Ok so this is a common known issue and sure enough spoilers don't work for any of the aircraft.

Looks like you did the right thing. My computer is in the shop so unable to confirm the exact binding. It's definitely a controller axis and not a toggle.

Not surprised. I never expected anything from PMP to be honest. It was a nice stop gap for liveries when MSFS was first released until flightsim.to got running. However, The ideas and Ambitions were way too high. It lasted longer than I thought so I will give them that.

That's the one. I have one of the joystick axes mapped to spoiler axis in the secondary control surfaces and it works like a charm.  I use the term spoilers and speedbrakes interchangably.

Bingo that solved the problem!

Spoiler 0-100% axis will now work as long as it's in secondary column!

Thanks a ton!
