the option to launch your ashes into space

The options I looked at offer to take "a symbolic portion" of your remains, or your DNA, into space and scatter the rest at the launch site.

After over 60 years of the All-American diet and enough scotch to claim controlling interest in the Glenfiddich distillery, wherever they bury me will probably have to be fenced off and declared a Superfund site!  😈

😂😂

Remindes me of the final episode of the American version of Shameless where they put the deceased Frank into the crematorium and the thing exploded and blew the doors off once the flames touched him. All those years of drinking turned him into a ticking time bomb once he was exposed to the flames. 😂😂😂

Let us how you do Paul.  Good health!!!!!

@psolk  I hope things get better for you.  My brother had a stroke last year that took out the left side of his body and it took him a while but now he walks again and has much of his functionality back.  Persistence is key.

Here's wishing you the best Paul.

A couple of years ago my cardiologist gave me a chemical stress test.  He told me it looked like I had some blockage in an artery going to my heart.  He scheduled me for a procedure where he ran a scope up through some vein in my wrist to look for the blockage.  When it was over he told me the stress test was a false alarm.  He saw no blockages.  But I had a week of worrying waiting for that scope test.

Hope it works out the same for you.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

.... Some societies opted for cremation and that is becoming more and more popular since the Catholic Church no longer forbids it ...

In India of course, cremation is almost always the way, and has been for over 6,000 years. You get cremated on a real-wood fire then popped into the Ganges as fish-food. Sounds good to me ;-)

In these modern high tech times though, I'm pretty sure that the likes of Mr Musk and Mr Branson will soon be offering burials in space, with relatives in black space suits being flown into higher orbit to witness the cylindrical black pod coffin fired into the great infinite.  There will probably be a choice of destinations on offer, such as being fired towards Mars, the Sun, or Jupiter etc. And for a special fee, the pod can be programmed to fire its booster rockets and head towards a fiery re-entry over the Earth's night sky, with flying drones capturing the celestial burn-up, to keep on video for old times sake.

I'm actually scared to google 'space burial cremations' in case the maniacs already have that service already planned and in progress.  ;-)

Gents,

Thank you so much for the best wishes.  Been a scary week realizing I had no will, had to line up my beneficiaries properly and back and forth to the Dr's. but they think the Mini-Strokes were actually a reaction to the meds to keep my blood pressure from dipping.  They changed meds on Wed and fortunately my feet have been on the ground and my head in the air since...  It's only when the head is on the ground and the feet are in the air we really have to worry 😉

Sadly my race license is pulled for now but that's to be expected.  Hopefully we can now get to a root cause of the Blood Pressure/heart rate drops to keep me upright!

Tremendously appreciate all of the support and kinds words however, it still means a tremendous amount to me.  Thank you.

Have a Wonderful Day

-Paul Solk
