Have you activated it inside the app. There is a slider for that

Yes, done that. Stupid question. Does the Ad Blocker app need to be running?

I don’t understand what you mean, if installed from the App Store and activated, I assume ABP should run without doing anything else but I am not an iOS specialist ! I have version 2.0.10 (31) if it helps.

It sounds like we have different apps. I’m on v1.8 of Ad Blocker for Safari. Not Plus which looks like payware.

You close an app by sliding it up to the top of the screen. That’s what I’ve been doing but even leaving it running it doesn’t block ads. Frustrating.

Really shouldn't be neccessary for any of us to go looking for ad blockers. Whatever you guys did, please reverse it.

The point is that "we" did nothing, so how can "we" reverse nothing? 🙃

How did it get there?  A commercial running 24/7 with no means to get rid of it?  Technology has taken over lives.  I hate to see what my great grandchildren are going to have live through.  Why do we passively accept the things that irritate us so?  Why can't we get rid of those things like spam e-mail and telemarketer calls?  Why do we say, "Well, that's the way it is.  We have to accept them."

I'll bet the thing on your phone when the comet hits will be a telemarketer call.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

@birdguy, did you never have an encyclopaedia salesman knock on your door back in the 50s? 😉

Yes, as a matter of fact!  It was in the summer and the salesman was my 7th grade math teacher Mr. Mahaffey.  He was also one of our little league umpires!

We already had a well worn set of the Encyclopedia Britannica in the early 50s Ray.  In 1952 I joined the Marine Corps and went to war.  Didn't need a set there.

That family didn't have a car, but we had set of encyclopedias as far back as I can remember.  And the most used phrase in our house was, "Look it up."

Well that then leads to the site being hacked by xss or malicious code injection.

I agree with you 100%.  Will someone from AVSIM please jump in here and explain WHY this is happening?

If AVSIM is financially benefiting from this, the STOP IT and allow us to donate so much per annum and eradicate this garbage from our screens.

Yeah, I'd rather pay a membership fee than put up with that banner at the bottom that never goes away.
