I using currently a around 8 year old PC only with some parts upgraded. The current specs are listet below. But I want a new one which can run flight sim better and with better graphic and frames. Currently at most situations I'm stable of course. But when flying with FSLabs into Amsterdam,Frankfurt etc then it gets worse. Not to mention special addons know been very frames hungry like Gaya Sim etc.

I already looked at some points, currently I'm waiting for the new Alder Lake Intel CPU to be released to see prices and value. GPU will be a RTX3080 or a AMD 6800XT better?
Any other ideas? RAM will be 32GB for start and later maybe more, SSD is 1TB primary for flightsim and a second one for OS+personal stuff+Lightroom+Photoshop

Three thoughts.  With a 3080 I'd upgrade a system to a minimum 850W PSU.  I would also certainly use SSD instead of HD. Finally, I'd add more cooling, such as a Corsair H100i v2 or another brand equivalent.

For any other helpful "examples" for a good up to date flight sim computer, you may want to check out Jetline Systems. They custom build desktops specifically for flight simulation

Something else to consider-- a Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 1 TB drive. I purchased one of these SSD's for my desktop specifically for my P3D 5.1 install. SSD's are not that expensive--have one for you main drive (aka C drive and then a second SSD dedicated for flight sim program). I use an older Western Digital external USB drive as my "storage" drive for flight sim addons and other things.

Given the current state of hardware prices (absurd) I'd be inclined to wait it out. I'm very happy where I'm at with my system (see signature) with no plan of updating anytime soon.

After some further searching I've found a build with Alder Lake. The video card is good enough I think and a 3080 is 500-800 bucks more and don't even think of a 3090. Good the CPU is quite stable.
The video and RAM are upgradable in the future if its really needed.

That sounds like a very good system and should do a good job with any of the flight sims currently available.

I am exploring a new rig too. My feeling is, for what its worth, that a 8 GB card  is an upgrade  in the waiting. The prices of the 3080 are horrific I know but if i need to change the card in two years...

Second thing, I always see very large with the PSU.  This is what makes the computer work or fail. Better be too large than too small. Looking at the calculator and adding a very big spoon of watts.

Depends what you're doing with your PC. If you're running benchmarks and such, and overlooking heavily and are using a graphics card OC BIOS, then the watts can head upward. For most of us that's not the case.

I have all the bits for my build, in fact they been sitting right beside me for many months. Haven't gotten around to building. Will be very soon though. 10900K, EVGA 3090 FTW3, 32gb Trident Z. I went for an EVGA 1000 watt. 

Overlocking these days isn't what it used to be. Intel (and I presume AMD) are pretty much pushing the chips to high frequencies out of the box, so not much headroom left. I'm thinking I will just enable MCE and of course XMP and leave it at that. Intel power limits off of course. In effect those measures are an overlock anyway. I will of course experiment to see what the chip is capable of.
