Feelthere LGA

Featured Replies

I bought this and installed it via the installer that it comes with.  I thought it was successfully installed and when I got in the sim, it wasn't there.  Is there a trick that that install ?

I think you can disregard this.  I figured it out.  Thanks

How do you like the airport? Is it worth it in comparison to the bigger developers, quality-wise?

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Also, there is freeware LGA + Bridges avialable, which is quite nice.. hard to know what to go for.

The FeelThere version is definitely a lot better than the freeware one, but it's nothing to write home about. It is fairly cheap, though. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with it.

I think they did a decent job on it but it's not up to standards of FB or FSDT by any means.  I think this is a port from XP so quality not quite what it should/could be.  I have flown in and out of the FeelThere KLGA several times in the FBW 320 and it performs well..in fact surprisingly so for that area.  I have always avoided NYC in flight sims like the plague but have been making more flights into and out of the area in MSFS which is what made me buy it.

Hi Bert,

You are probably referring to "KLGA LaGuardia Airport + NYC Bridge Improvement v1.8" available at flightsim.to. There are a few reports of incompatibility of this addon with others, namely Ed Patino´s NY scenery. Do you find any problems with this La Guardia scenery?

Thanks

I'm satisfied with the FeelThere version too, but the downside is that seems to be a bit heavy on FPS, maybe because it's located on that congested area.

It's also important to point out that the freeware KLGA is also heavy on frames and interferes with the payware NY bridges.

Cheers, Ed

Scenery looks good to me (LGA based pilot). Not uber quality payware, but gets the job done.

Yes I've noticed it's pretty heavy on performance too. They seem to have gone a bit overboard with the amount of ground clutter which isn't helping things any. I think I'll email them because there are some issues with their KRDU too.
