Flight Deck or Flight Tracker may suit me better as I only have the Honeycomb yoke and Throttle? Can on the other side just talk for AAO (think SPAD will work similar): it is undoubtly useful, not only for the StreamDeck plugins, also as you can setup different profiles for aircraft. So, as example, you set up a single prop profile (or template as AAO names it) and a 2 mot profile or maybe a profile for a very specific addon. You do not have to care any more if you load this aircraft then. With AAO you have also the VRInsight Bridge where you can use the MCP Combo II Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

October 18, 20214 yr I don't get why they made a 15 button and a 32 button model? You can make pages so why is a 32 button model even necessary? Saving $100 buys a whole bunch of MSFS addons. Or you could spend it contributing to Flightsim.to. 6 button model (if they still make it) is too small though. -J 13700KF | RTX 4090 @ 1440 | 64GB DDR5 | 2 x 1TB SSDs | 1TB M.2 NVMe

The XL can provide a lot more information on a single page. It’s also more practical if you like to split gauges over more than one key. The final benefit is the keys are a higher resolution on the XL. Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. Moza, MFG, Fulcrum & Virpil controllers. Quest 3 for VR.

There are so much functions on some planes. For ex. on the Dc-6 you need 8 buttons only to manage the 4 mixture levers (up and down). I thought the same at first when i bought the 15 version, and bought the 32 buttons 2 weeks laters.
October 18, 20214 yr To be honest, I always made do with the 15 button version as the folders give a lot of flexibility and it works great. Having tried the XL though, I wouldn't go back as it's great to have the extra buttons for some pages where needed. Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB, Win 11. MSFS2020. All I've come across is "crisp resolution." I bought the 15 button model and the resolution is just fine. I really don't see the need to duplicate gauges that are already displayed on my monitor. But some do, so to each his own. Good luck with today's (Oct.19th) update. -J 13700KF | RTX 4090 @ 1440 | 64GB DDR5 | 2 x 1TB SSDs | 1TB M.2 NVMe

For some reason they don't really push this aspect of it - not sure why. The guide to creating custom key icons does mention to use double the resolution for the XL though and it's also mentioned in some reviews. Certainly moving from the regular to the XL is obvious when you have high quality icons to start with and the gauges in Flighttracker look better for it. November 2, 20214 yr Author Flight Deck, Flight Tracker & Axis @ Ohs, do I really need one of these to operate Stream Deck with MSFS? What on earth is Axis @ Ohs? I read about it and it seems like something comparable to FSUIPC? I bought this panel thinking it would be an easy option, but the more I read the more I am starting to realise it looks anything but! All I want to do is add functions to the Stream Deck. So, can anyone suggest, if I need a third part software, which one (if any) is the simplest and easiest to use. Thanks. November 2, 20214 yr Technically spoken, you do not need any 3rd party software. You can assign a keystroke to a button and this is then executed in the sim. Practically spoken, you can only use then the standard MSFS assignments, which will be very fast obsolete if you fly any addon, which has normaly its own variables and assignments. Further, you always have to have the MSFS window active when you press a button, because the SD just executes the keystroke: doesn't matter if its Editor or MSFS or WORD. With AxisAndOHs StreamDeck plugin, you can have another window open and the functions would be forwarded into the sim. Next advantage of AAOs SD plugin is, that you can use the variables of addons. However it is relatively difficult to make profiles and gather the variables etc. but you are very lucky, that I created a bunch of them 😉 And you can have animated buttons, even with aircraft instruments if you like. Have a look at this thread, where I have made a little video what the SD plugin can do. AAO experimental B:Vars feature - StreamDeck in action - Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) - The AVSIM Community As far as I know, FSUIPC is not capable to drive the StreamDeck, I do not know about SPAD or MobiFlight. I use AAO as the developer is brilliant, highly responsive and pushed AAO as far as anyone can to get all out of the sim. If you want to use any hardware, StreamDecks, VRInsight MCP Combo etc. at least in combination with addon aircraft, then yes, you need a 3rd party tool like AAO.
