I just gotta say, Steve, that shot of your Ryan livery is nothing short of gorgeous.

Thanks Clutch!  Its on purpose, and I liken myself to a editor at a major fashion magazine, taking almost as much time "Photoshoping" my "models" for great looking screenshots. 🙂  Not really in the sense that I "Photoshopped" this pic, but I did manipulate the time/season, sun position and of course that angle (one of my favs....not only because it just looks cool....but hides a lot of "sins" still existing on this paint, hehe).  The sun glint is a staple, and I use slew to rotate plane around to get the glint just where I want it...after setting the right time of day and season of course.

Had I posted a droll, uninspiring shot like this:

You'd quickly see the livery folder I copied to start this project, LOL....and there is no cool glint (other than the one on the tail from the logo light)...and there is too many other distractions in the shot. 🙂

As a painter, I always felt it was important to not only paint well...but to also show my work "on her best side" when taking screenshots, Hehe.  It does grab your attention (obviously), and generates interest, which only serves to create awareness of a paint that some may have, with uninspiring screenshots, would have just flipped by while browsing.    I see my evil plot worked as you felt inspired enough to comment. 🤣

To me, the key to a great screenshot is one when you're walking (or panning) around the plane, and you stop in your tracks and say "OMG, this is breathtaking...I need to share it".   Like the other day when I landed my DC-6 at LOWI (in MSFS), and was walking around it, got under #3 and looked up....

The quarter moon, along with the stunning Austrian backdrop, as well as the main subject itself....just blew me away, and I turned the whole experience into a post here:

I like pretty pics, hehe.

Getting close guys....the real world has gotten in the way of the paint shop.   Not sure now if I can get her out by the weekend, but trying. 😉  Still a lot of work to do that this screenshot does not show.  Like most paints...I can usually get 80% done in a few hours, the last 20%...always takes the longest. 😞
