I guess I thought the G3X was basically a G1000 NXi  PFD and MFD combined into one panel.  Some of each and intended for panels with limited space but unlimited bucks to spend.  A separate AP head is usually sitting underneath a GTN750.

The real G3X is amazing.  The sim one is about the worst as far as navigation goes.  The PMS GTN is a little better but it's nothing like we had in P3D ie RXP/F1.  The best avionics right now in sim is the WT G1000 NXi - followed closely by their own CJ4's FMS - ProLine 21.  The G3000, G3X, GTN are all about the same....based on the default flight planning logic... and will screw up your route quite often...much less do poor jobs of loading approaches and don't even think of flying procedure turns.

I guess we have to back up, wait a while, and give the WT time to do their magic on the G3X.  Sooner or later someone will deliver a bonafide GTN750.  Everyone wants one. Someone with an X  or a 1 in their name.

It looks like the RV14 Panel could accommodate a G1000 NXi and a GTN750 and a Garmin 305 AP head. Maybe that would be the sweet spot panel design.

Unfortunately at the moment the PMS GTN and WT G1000 Nxi do not work together.

Took it for a spin....  yeah clearly WIP but very nice for freeware....  cockpit is decent, modelling/texturing really good.  I can see he put a lot of time and effort into this project.  I had a heck of a time with the tail wheel on takeoff....  I've yet to find a flightsim with great tail wheel FDEs.

Lock the tail wheel for takeoff.

I like that bubble type canopy. RV 14 has the same.

Does the RV have a tail wheel lock?

This Freeware one?  Don't know.  Guess we need to request one in the comments at Flightsim.to

This is definitely getting better 🙂

Looking nice, and I do like the steam gauges.

What I am struggling with, is the flight model... The ailerons seem to react with some delay, whereas the elevator is more immediate, as might be expected..

Small issue.. you have to push in the parking brake knob to set the brakes.. this is opposite to other airplanes.. is this correct?

I guess since it's freeware I'm not as picky.  I think it's still slightly too powerful - but I haven't noticed the aileron issue yet.  I believe you're correct about tht parking brake.

I've been having trouble with either the flight modelling or controller sensitivity in most of the FS2020 aircraft. I'm using profiles in FSUIPC7 and adjusting individually to improve control.

This plane is awesome.  As good as or better than a lot of payware out there.
