Literally everywhere.

If you can try now, I am available for a direct screenshot comparison showing the clouds situation and the METAR. Real time, live weather and an airport at your choice.

Just to make sure we are seeing the same things and there's no other parameter messing up things (Internet connection, server choice...)

I agree that Asobo seem to be on holiday very early, at the risk of being hypocritical as I've been off work since last week, but I've had no summer holidays and yes I've worked all through the pandemic, I have to go into work for a few days over the holidays for essential stuff, but I'm being well paid for it, so why can't Asobo go in and get the update up to an Hotfix 1 state and issue a Hotfix 2 after the holidays.

Yes I'm in the Beta but some simmers are reluctant to use the Beta, and that's fine and understandable.

Whether MSFS gamers want to believe or not MSFS is non "Essential". You want essential try the Medical and Food industry when they work during holidays and probably get off non holidays. Asking Asobo to work on a holiday  just to satisfy a few people "in real world reality" is ridiculous just find something else "not direct to you but the others here also" to complain about these holiday.

This thread could turn into a HR Department 101 discussion lol 😂. If this people would of decided to take the month of December off I wouldn’t be mad about it not everyone in the entire world needs to be put on the same level of workaholic mode as here in the states ..

Yes but the essential stuff I'm referring to is more for the company I work for, I'm classed as an essential worker, but I'm not so sure I am in reality, as I work for one of the major Jet engine companies and as I say I've worked throughout the Pandemic, and most of the times I need to be working alongside other Engineers, so no social distancing either. So it would be a lot safer for Asobo.

I'm not asking for Asobo to work over the holidays, but if they have broken up for the Christmas Holidays on mass, it's a bit early, If I hadn't put annual holidays in that I had left to use I would have possibly been in until 7 PM on Christmas Eve, If Asobo work until roughly a day or two before Christmas they might get the Hotfix out. I'll I was asking was for them to try.

I captured this at 2:25PM ET using Live Weather at Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport. (You might have to click the picture icon under the main banner to see the full-size screen capture.) Even when I use the weather pre-sets, all the clouds bottom out at 1500 feet. Every cloud structure in my sim, whether live or pre-set, seems about 3000 feet too low. I can manually raise the pre-sets but not the Live Weather.

@MrFuzzy I really appreciate your helping me understand this issue. Thank you, Sir. In Atlanta now, the clouds do seem to be almost touching the ground in reality. May I ask you a question about your weather pre-sets, as opposed to the Live Weather? If you load in, say, Scattered Clouds or Broken Clouds, what is the level of the lowest clouds? My weather pre-sets list the cloud bottoms at 1500 feet. To me, this looks and feels much too low. I don't believe the cloud bottoms were this low previously. Were they? Please tell me if I'm wrong.

It doesn't seem to me that the cloud bottoms are too low in Atlanta's situation honestly... I am not a meteorologist but I have the impression that it's just an overcast sky and if you look in the distance the clouds meet the line of the horizon. They do that in the distance, giving the impression to be low but not where the camera is. Otherwise there wouldn't be such relatively high visibility, there would be the thick fog we saw in SU7. Clouds are reported correctly at 2,600 ft as per METAR.

The current situation looks pretty good to me. It's not perfect in its representation and transitions (probably it will never be) but more than acceptable IMHO.

To answer your question, if I set a scattered clouds preset, the lowest level of clouds is 1550 feet, with broken clouds 500 feet. I never use presets though.
