It's the 17th now - I have to work until about noon on the 24th, and I bet a lot of people do. I feel your dissapointment @bobcat999 but on the patch front they obviously don't have a date, but it would have been curtious to explain where they are. The news update is a bit light given we've waited so long. On the holiday front, why are so many folks upset? Asobo and Microsoft will have staff rolling off on there Christmas hols over the next week or so just like any other company, it doesn't mean the entire company is off from when this news update was posted. They probably decided they can't for any reason make any key decisions now before Christmas so will reconvience in the new year. I'm on my holidays as well, now I'm feeling guilting with these comments!

I'm on my holidays as well, now I'm feeling guilting with these comments! Don't feel guilty! You are not a large organisation with millions of customers. It is probably just frustration showing, but apart from content creation and fixing lots of bugs they have introduced themselves over the last 16 months, the progress on the core sim seems slow. I am fine on the beta for a while, and I am using preset weather while the live is still not quite right, but I am disappointed for the people waiting for the formal fix who aren't in the beta. The communication seems thin on what might happen, and when, just when people were hoping they might get a fix before the holiday (a reasonable expectation). Just a few words might have done... " we are trying hard to get it out before the holiday, but this may not happen", or "sorry folks, it isn't going to be possible". Instead, people are waiting in limbo, while they say "we are off, see you next year". Is it really so hard? The impression left after this communication isn't the best. Despite this, I think there is still a small chance of a formal update next Tuesday, and if not, I would say to people back-up your sim, and join the beta. It is fixed up quite well apart from a few smaller issues and the live weather. For me, it was worth it just to get rid of the colour banding, assistance settings that kept going to easy, and the TrackIR issue. PS. I just want to add, I was surprised by the comments I saw earlier (not from you) about people seem to be working for an abusive employer and seem to be sad that Asobo employees don't have to, or words to that effect; this is a bit out of left field, and totally wrong I think. Nobody should be a slave these days, and if someone thinks they are working for an abusive employer, they should leave. I will work up to noon Christmas eve and one day on a rota the following week. A big part of my job is customer service, especially as the customer is responsible for getting my wage paid. I don't see my company as abusive. I understand customers who pay my wage may need help occasionally at inconvenient times, and the company I work for is superb. Not realistic and the whole scene appears to be steam emanating from the earth creating the puffs all around. Very unearth-like and looks so bad. Golly I hope they fix this! Its actually my screenshot which doesn't do it justice really because it looked amazing when I was flying in it, I think its pretty realistic for a mountainous area! If luckily enough you can purchased one, you still need an extra cost to access the Internet to use it, for me it's around 300 US dollars per year. A WU for this land? forget it. Isn't MS already a large player for productivity software in China ? And of course Windows. I have also seen that they are in the process to localize the product in Chinese. You doubt that there is a market because of a problem of poor connectivity in the cities ? In my line of work, the production lines are still working and so are the shipping/distribution channels. But the corporates office is closed since we’re not needed during the time frame since everything else can run without us in the office for a few weeks. Sometimes people seem that as unfair, but when you sign up for a job, usually you know that you’ll be working holidays or not. If you prefer not to work holidays, don’t take the job. Find a job that gives you the working condidtions you prefer. You are lucky. Here it's not like that. Any, if i had holydays I would take them and use some days to fix live traffic taking off, and weather. Its important to have fun with the clear conscience. 😎

Yes, but their ability to meet the deadlines is even worse. The white dot and the flyback bug were supposed to be fixed in SU6 and is now pushed to SU8, the color banding in SU8 and instead is in SU7 hotfix beta. Of the white dot nobody talks anymore, They committed for SU8 on 22/2/22 then removed the date in the last development update... and probably other episodes that I don't remember. What kind of announcement could they do now? Their Q&As may gloss over the cracks for many when it comes to communication, but I for one am not fooled by their total ineptitude at communicating when it really matters. December 18, 20214 yr 1 hour ago, MrFuzzy said: Uh? I haven't seen ground level clouds since I joined the beta. Can you post a location for me to check? Thanks Literally everywhere. I experience the low clouds both on Live Weather and with the weather pre-sets. I was noticing this evening that most of the pre-sets have the cloud-bottoms pegged at 1500 feet (which is about 3000 feet too low). When I manually push up the cloud bottoms 3000 feet to around 4500 feet, everything looks perfect. The problem is that I can't push up the cloud bottoms on Live Weather, so many of the airports have a fogged-in look. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I suspect that the sim is actually portraying the weather exactly as the data flowing into it demands, but that the cloud-elevation data flowing into the sim is sometimes messed up, depending on which servers you're accessing.
