Unfortunately XP has lost about 45% of users since the other sim started public Beta. More recently it has been flat lining. But forum sites are turning into ghost towns. It could be curtains if 12 flops

Should I start calling mods again or do you have any internal LR numbers to prove your point? Propaganda much lol

All the flightsims are pretty dank right now, and the org really did scare everyone away.

Discord servers, slacks and avsim are pumping tho.

Zibo 737

FF777V2

FF 787

Rotate md11

PMDG? Yawn.

Of your list the Rotate MD11 is a shining beacon with regard to performance. It shows how it should be done. Ditto Toliss. The FF 767 which I own is appallingly bad fps wise for little extra complexity and as a result I don't rate FlightFactor highly at all. As for PMDG why would anyone pay £100 for a 737 when there is the Zibo for free? I can't see PMDG bettering it and don't think they have anything to offer X-Plane users. Even for MSFS it sounds like they will be releasing the 737 without a working radar so they will hardly be able to claim its study level.

Yes but he said LR lost 45% of their customers, so lets give him some time to prove this.

Just do this 😉 :

The discussion is irrelevant, Greazer. Official recent data shows that usage of MSFS has dropped by 87% in the last few weeks alone (non-Steam). In fact this has stopped the SU7 hotfix getting rolled out and PMDG has put their 737 on hold as well. Sorry, but it seems lights out for MSFS before end of year (recent server problems due to Microsoft practicing shut-down procedures).

Disclaimer: Just like Greazer´s, all numbers and facts stated above are totally made up 🤪

he'll be looking at steam charts,

xp11 fell from about 4000 to 2500 or something

msfs fell from 70,000 to 4000

War Thunder rose from 20,000 to 25,000

So janov was almost there, 95% lost for MSFS lol

That makes @Greazer claims even more false.

Have to laugh or you'd cry, just because I expected to see MS go this way doesn't mean I'm happy about it. I'd be a very happy sparky with an xbox right now .... if xbox had VR and MSFS wasn't a steaming pile of broken computer parts.

I just want a flightsim that isn't broken ffs. Why is that so much to ask.

But it's sales that matter. Not usage. Why would LR care about usage? It's the number of copies they sell that matters not how often people actually fire the thing up. Or am I missing something?

Laminar Research customer -- Asobo/MS customer -- not an X-Aviation customer - or am I? 😉

No, they are.

the conversation was about PMDG.

For 3rd party developers numbers of active users of the base product is the total potential market size of a new product you would like to sell to them.

Like, you cant sell a windows only product to mac and linux users.

It doesn't matter at all how often a customer uses a product as long as he buys it.

Broken? Doesn't seem broken to me? It's rock solid and better looking than ever imo. I've no idea about VR though because I'm an adult. 🤣 (There was an issue with the recent NVidia driver but that's been fixed.)
