I think I'll just leave this here in case some didn't know.

So as a businessman, no I don't think he regrets his decision to abandon XP very much 🤣

But everyone is of course free to hallucinate about PMDG taking the U-Turn soon.

Honestly - I think X-Plane will be just fine withouth PMDG. I don´t expect them to ever show up in X-Plane really, they will certainly stay where the picking is richer.

And I also don´t believe that they will be stuck in their development much longer, it is obvious that the large majority of MSFS gamers don´t care about the customary PMDG fidelity and accuracy - delaying much longer would be a bad business decision 🙂

MSFS crowd has been lapping up anything poured out in front of them with desperation...and everyone is drooling over the nice 737 screenshots, meh, just release it already I say 😉

Thats about Xbox, not PC, and they were offered refunds.

Doh

Your "sold more than all others combined" is also about xbox not PC.

The PC release was months before the Xbox release?

Okay, and is Austin being a Samaritan also the reason why he milked the cash cow for years without feeding it?

Maybe it's someone else who really isn't getting it 😉

Laminar has never stopped developing, i fit did we wouldnt have vulcan, And if you dont get  it now you never will. There is a reason why we stick with XPLANE Austin actually cares.

23rd of November (your article) was 30 days ago (ms forums saying it doesn't work), not sure where you get "months ago" from.

Look the release date of the pmdg DC 6 for PC is just a quick web search away from you. I'm not gonna argue with you about that.

And even if, what would that change? Nothing. So let's get back to this healthy and entertaining discussion about how soon PMDG will embrace XP12.

but your article is talking about the marketplace release which was all xbox, because pc guys already bought it.

It reinforces what I said about the msfs release going worse than the xp10 release.

Has the nice tid bit of

"no one could have foreseen" = "utterly predictable"

newspeak

And comes back to an XP10 to XP12 conversion likely being one of the highest roi's in their portfolio.

Might be amusing to you but im sure no one here really cares. Xplane is a different market, seems it was to much for PMDG. Would have loved there dc6 but such is life.

Zibo 737

FF777V2

FF 787

Rotate md11

All my favorite airliners are already pending for v12.

PMDG? Yawn.

The truth is, believe it or not, that many if not most Xplane users could not care less what PMDG does, xplane has not gotten this far thanks to PMDG or thanks to other developers so much vaunted in MSFS / FSX / P3D.

Unfortunately XP has lost about 45% of users since the other sim started public Beta. More recently it has been flat lining. But forum sites are turning into ghost towns. It could be curtains if 12 flops
