But for orbital flight in a sleigh you need a pressurised Santa suit so ordinarily the red suit is removed. But so as not to upset any children watching with their dads through a telescope, and given that Santa had been doing some intermittent fasting and lost weight as his blood pressure was a tad high, he managed to get the red suit, that is normally removed for orbital sleigh flight, over the top of the pressure suit.
