Love this post on the YouTube replies...    You can tell that you did a gear up landing because it takes a lot more power to taxi afterward

I've snuck up on you before in the sim to watch you takeoff with your speed brake extended (in the 339)....at Telluride I believe.  Don't be getting all high-n-mighty that you've never committed an aviation error before. That's as daft as taking off as a new DC-6 pilot with the integrated control lock still in place (says Steve sheepishly). 🤔

Speaking of which...I love a few youtube vids I've seen of some pilots who've incorporated a "gear" section in their verbal before landing and after takeoff checklists because they typically fly retractable-gear aircraft and are so used to saying it:

"Gear"

"Down and welded"  🤣

It's not as if the gear warning sound was on mute or didn't go on long enough. I, of course, would never make such a n00b mistake. 😎

I doubt your attorney will try to prosecute me....he was in the back seat of your 339 and I recall when we landed and were shutting down our engines, even over the jet noise I could hear him yelling something like "You tried to kill me!  How could you forget to retract your speedbrake on takeoff?"  He looked quite green in the gills too...as if he was ill.  And I swear I thought I saw him kneel down and kiss the tarmac when he got out of the back seat. 😏

If we go to trial...I will call him as my material witness. 🙂

I was trying to start it without RTFM.  That's the last switch I tried hehe.  It's in an unfamiliar spot that's for sure.
