You're right again in mentioning flight model! It's not only eye candy, but weather also has an effect on flight/ground physics! 😍

And I have no doubt Meyer has perfectly modelled the physical ground effects of wet tarmac down to atomic level? It's eye candy,

And the point is? It's obvious to us all you are not really into that, otherwise you would have noticed x-plane had an icing/wet model a very long time ago. The difference now it is rendered.

It's five years late. That's the point.

Oh ok, here we go again?

"Five year late", maybe. Late for what though?

If Meyer had invested sufficiently in XP five years ago it would not be in the sorry state it is in now and I would not be griping about out of date legacy graphics. Wet pavements? I mean The Witcher 3 even had wet pavements yonks ago!

We're always five years late in our lives to cange what we did 5 ys ago...

Jamstro, this has been discussed so many times, the reasons that not a lot of visual improvements came during v11 are well known (Vulkan/Metal needed first).

Soon we are in x-plane 12 with graphics overhaul that *we all knew coming long time ago*, move on please, a lot has changed, what is the point again?

The point is that all I have seen with XP12 is catch up? No real advances. Where is the knock out wow factor? All the graphics enhancements are just old hat and nothing new. I am, as was expecting, a knock out advance.

So don't buy x-plane 12 if that's what *you* think. Again, what is the point?

No, it's not. Before you post, you should investigate. I give you another attempt to investigate, and to prove your statement wrong/right ... whatever.

Enlighten me? Has Meyer gone out with his Water-O-Meter and discerned the effect of water  on a taxi way? I doubt it. It's eye candy.

Do you have XP 11? I asked you to investigate before posting. If in doubt, please investigate.

I'm just as excited as around late 2016 when I bought XP11. This will be a fine and much needed update. All previews look very solid.

Yes. I flew from EGTE to EGPH today in the Toliss.  The plane is great. The graphics are garbage.

Ok, so you have the chance to investigate yourself - try it. If you claim something, you should also prove it.
