Thanks for that, Ray.   I hear from someone else who was talking to you about this that it's because this user is a moderator on one of the third-party sub-forums.   I guess they don't have a "moderator" tag because they're not a global-level mod?

That's slightly confusing.   And still slightly unfortunate, as that mod status shouldn't offer any privileges elsewhere, IMO.   But I know you're limited by what the software you use can do . 🙂

@DeepestRed, you’ve got it spot on. The person has some powers but not full mod ones. Half-way house. Nothing can be done so use blinkers where necessary. 😉
