Clouds in FSX = nice

Featured Replies

Clouds are killing me right now. I've been tweaking a bit but overcast to 3/4 overcast is dagging me down into the low teens to uplle single digits. Any way to cure this?? I've searched around a bit with no luck.

Solar Eagle, WHERE DID YOU GET THAT PLANE! just wondering, not trying to hijack, its unreal looking!Danon O.

I do not like the look of rain when viewed thru the FSX 2D panel. Is it possible for ActiveSky (the new one for FSX) to make any improvements in this area? Thanks,Jim

I'll be first in line Jim, like I have been before. I actually missed in this forum that it's best to install SP1 on a clean install of FSX. I did that tonight and it did help alot with overcast sky and performance. So I'm good until ASX is out, but hustle with that. :)

If you guys want much better clouds than the default ones try Real Sky V3. I just can't fly without it anymore, it's fantastic. It's another sim with it.avs_459.jpgavs_504.jpgavs_674.jpgavs_677.jpgRegards

I am not sure if the default clouds are DXT compressed or not.
