Anyone experiencing CTD after WU8 ?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have been trying depart out of Gatwick twice now, and both times a CTD occured. I am using the FBW A320 Experimental version, first time it crashed when I at the gate when modifying  the route in the MCDU and the second time shortly after departure, when entering a DCT. Is there something known with issues on the FBW side or is something wrong with the WU8?

I didn't know WU8 was out... 😗

So just to answer, it was WU7 (Australia), but no worries... I haven't experienced any CTD's at all after the update.... actually have not had a CTD in a while... I know there have been some updates to the FBW, I use the Development Version with no issues at all...

Ah, sorry that getting confusing with the updates. Yes, I looked it up wrongly, I use the developement version either. Weird, I haven't had any CTD either for a while just started after the new update.

The shadow copies of volume 😄 were deleted because the shadow copy storage could not grow in time.  Consider reducing the IO load on the system or choose a shadow copy storage volume that is not being shadow copied.

Maybe something is going on with my system.

It's not just your system I guess. I also have been experiencing these dreaded CTD every now and then, but recently they've definitely intensified. Sometimes I can't even load a flight. There's a huge thread up on official forums where simmers report having trouble with these CTDs pretty much all the time. The sim used to be stable before, now it's a huge mess - unfortunately.

Delete your rolling Cache. Sounds like something may be going on with the xvd drive that the game uses to store files when the sim is running. FYI ..I have not had any CTD's using the FBW A320 .. i use the experimental version.

Hope this resolves your issue.

Cheers

Probably that solve it, having a flight without any issues so far. thx.

No CTD with or without rolling cache.  I have a 100Gb rolling cache running now and all's great.
