Please vote! Drone Speed

Featured Replies

Hi,
Default Drone speed is 4% and the only way to change the speed is using the toolbar’s menu.
Moreover, as soon as we leave Drone view, we have to set this value again, which is disturbing and annoying.
I suggest:
1/ Making Drone Speed increase/decrease assignable with keyboard and controllers, same as Translation and Rotation speeds.
2/ Adding a SAVE function, so we can save the chosen drone speed to a certain value without having to set it higher each time.

PLEASE VOTE HERE IF YOU AGREE!
Thank you 🙃

Making Drone Speed increase/decrease assignable

Maybe they recently changed this, but I could swear I used to have the drone's speed assigned to my mouse scroll wheel, and I used to fly around in the drone controlling my speed up & down with the scroll wheel?

But I've changed things around alot in the last few weeks so now I'm not certain.

I can adjust the drone speed on the fly as I assigned my F5 and F6 keys to the speed control.

Voted! Thank you for bringing up this issue. The drone speed always bothered me, but I never worked up the ambition to mention it. Thank you!

I already assigned the drone speed to controller buttons and using like that for a long time.

No you can't.

Talking about Drone Speed, not drone rotation or drone translation.
And there is no way to assign it to controllers, thus my request.

I can increase the drone speed with the F2 key.  I think this is the default key to increase the drone speed.  When I do this, the drone travels much faster.  I usually do this to travel around the airport with the drone view.

F2 increases drone speed. This works for horizontal and vertical movements. F2 is bound to "Increase drone translation speed". "Decrease drone translation speed" has no default key. I don't think that "translation" speed is any other than actual speed. Or is it?

For me, F2 makes the drone move faster horizontally around the airport. I can travel faster to different parts of the airport with F2.

I attached a xbox controller to my PC and yes, I am increasing and decreasing drone transilation speed with the buttons on it. Not the speed of drone itself.

But isn't it the same thing ? By this way you are able to control the drone speed.
