I just took a quick look at Simmarket, only to find that there were 14 products in a row just released from the same developer (no need to mention the name), and probably 50% or more of all of the new releases. This is insanity, and it makes searching for products very difficult. It seems that MSFS has unfortunately woken up the money grab market.

This Simmarket bashing becomes ludicrous. And, of course, it has to go with a little bit of  MSFS bashing. Wouldn't be fun otherwise ! 

Simmarket doesn't grab anything, they offer for sale stuff that you are at liberty not to buy . 

These "Illuminatiors"   that irks you so much will be sold to people who like  them. Does that hurt you ?  Are you in the business of policing the addon market ? to decide for others what is good or not to buy ? 

For the record, I've  had an account for 18 years with them.  And I can still download my first buy made on 2004  . Never had a problem with them. Serious people.

Lighten up Francis, sounds like you are having a bad day. And by the way, I have and continue to spend thousands at Simmarket. Also, can you show me the “bashing?” Why are you so angry? By the way, my “money grab” remark had nothing to do with Simmarket, but just several new developers out there. I happen to buy just about everything from Simmarket. Please do a better job of interpreting what others write.

I made my first Simmarket purchase in 2002, 20 years ago and have been a steady customer ever since.  It's as close to a one stop shopping center as one can get.  In all those years never had a problem or a complaint.

If you don't like Simmarket you can go elsewhere to shop, but you won't find the variety covering every simulator that has come out over those 20 years that you will find there.

It's the Woolworth of sim shopping.

Before the next guy responds with an word not allowed response, I have been buying from Simmarket for 15 Years! Simmarket is my primary source for addons. My comment was in no way directed in a derogatory way towards Simmarket! So much assumption on these forums, and very little confirmation.

This is not derogatory?  I would say there are more FSX items for sale on Simmarket than there are for MSFS.  Are MSFS developers not to have a have a place in Simmarket?  Of course there are going to be a lot of up front items for MSFS.  It's new!  It's popular!  Now I don't own it myself, I'm a P3D guy.  But if we want to ration how much a developer is going to be allowed to market on Simmarket doesn't that limit the items we are interested in.  Having a lot of MSFS items for sale on Simmarket in no way limits the number of items for those who favor FS2004 or FSX or P3d.

No, it is not. You want to start a fight about it, have at it. I am done. These forums continue to become more toxic by the day, and I've been a member for 20+ years. By the way. "searching" and "browsing" are not the same thing. I think I made my point very clear, interpret it how you want to.

It didn't wake it up, it _IS_ the money grab market, that's why i'll just let the dust settle in maybe 1-2 years and then i'll have another look (if it survives).

Pete makes a good point about the forums.  And Pete you should know this also -- we endured a solid year (2019-2020) of sim bashing here, with -- in my opinion -- not enough moderator action back then.  A forum reaps what it sows, and now people are over-sensitive to any perceived slight.   Yes Dominique & Noel I think you overreacted, what he posted is not derogatory.

I agree with you 100%. And with regards to sim bashing, I happen to use both P3D and MSFS, and enjoy both of them. Sometimes people don’t interpret written comments as they were intended, which is why I feel it is important to get a better understanding before teeing off on someone.
