Expensive yes, but it’s also the most immersive aircraft in P3D hands down. Nothing against any other aircraft developers, but as a whole package nothing beats FSLabs in my opinion. Once they retrofit the A32X WingTip Fence series with the EFB it’ll be an even better product line. And don’t even get me started on if they do an A330, that alone would make me never abandon P3D.

No doubt that their A321 was a masterpiece and one of the most immersive aircraft I have flown in a simulation. However their questionable pricing strategy when realising the SL range badly alienated me as a customer. As good as FSlabs is I binned the entire collection (I owned every aircraft they released including Concorde). It was painful but it was time to move on to newer technologies.

After buying a new computer I was very tempted to finally buy the FSL A320. Not knowing if MSFS will be the future for airliner flying makes the decision a bit tough. But a few weeks ago FSL suddenly and without explanation increased the price of the A320 base pack for P3D from $140 to $150. Everyone is complaining that P3D addons don't sell anymore and they just increase the price of their product. Of course they have the right to ask whatever price they want, but given the circumstances I lost the interest and will continue to fly the Maddog.

Greetings
Tim

Oh wow, I hadn’t noticed that.

That and their new forum policy... looks like I'll stick then to Aerosoft until Fenix is released.

I love their CPDLC and acars stuff.  Top notch.  With a graphical renovation on the VC and exterior they would basically be perfect.  My problem is I've lost most of the joy I once had flying airbus stuff.  Which makes me sad.  But I've gravitated to the Q400/MD-80/737.

Before, the suport forum was open to all access. Since 2-3 weeks ago, they require you to submit the product number to access the forums. Even if I understand the motivation behind that (QW, iFly and Level-D use the same system), there was a lot of information more related to P3D itself (tweaks, setup tips, etc) that was very useful to me, and that wasn't available somewhere else.

Also, there were some FPS issues in the buses, and since I changed my GPU some weeks ago, I was again taking a look into the forums to see if there would be any issues as of now, and to make a decision before spending the $140. Was...

The ACARS together with the sounds, the GSX integration, FS2CREW and obviously the fidelity of the aircraft makes it a very enjoyable experience. Additionally, having the thrustmaster joystick and throttle quadrant, plus a tiller, makes it even more immersive. I don’t use the CPDLC service since I’ve never tried VATSIM, but make up for it by using RealTraffic and vector myself in with the traffic flow.

I definitely wish more aircraft addons included the ACARS and GSX integration as well as FSLABS is doing it.

hardware is not my problem.  In fact bought some very nice skarlarki stuff.  If you don't know who they are and love the fslabs, be afraid to look.  Or you will be spending some big money.  In all seriousness, I think I've learned that I prefer non fly by wire planes.  Also prefer planes that give a little workload.  The airbus is almost to kind to the pilot.
