Sim Update 9 - Remember to delete Rolling Cache !

Featured Replies

I've always had rolling cache on, but this post is making me re-evaluate that, as I've just realized, I rarely fly in the same areas regularly... so it's probably a pointless waste of disk space! 😁     Will try kicking it off for a while.

Any suggestions as to how large the rolling cache should be? I’ve been running 20gb for a while now.

Me too.  I usually used 8GB, but when I went to delete it I discovered that it was changed to "off" after installing the SU9 update.  Maybe Asobo is deleting the cache for us (?) after sim updates - which is fine to eliminate potential issues, but I just hate how they make changes to certain sim/controller settings without giving any notice to the end user.

Really? Any logic behind this?

Well. Asobo said it on a twitch Q&A

Since SU9, my 8 GB Rolling Cache which I had been using for two years started giving me trouble.

I now fly with it off.
