April 27, 20224 yr Just a heads up ! After updating tom SU 9 yesterday, I had some CTD's when loading a flight, especially at one particular Airport (EKBI by Simnord). I fixed this by deleting the Rolling Cache. I guess others who experience CTD's - stutters or bad FPS might benefit from doing the same. April 27, 20224 yr In the settings where online functionality is located, scroll to the bottom you'll see a rolling cache option. I always have mine off. I7 10700K 16GB 3600MHZ RTX3080FE

April 27, 20224 yr I agree that resetting or deleting caches can solve scenery load issues but then it seems the whole reason for the cache is defeated. ns AMD RYZEN 9 5900X 12 CORE CPU - ZOTAC RTX 3060Ti GPU - NZXT H510i ELITE CASE - EVO M.2 970 500GB DRIVE - 32GB XTREEM 4000 MEM - XPG GOLD 80+ 650 WATT PS - NZXT 280 HYBRID COOLER

April 27, 20224 yr If you're having CTDs and you've updated to the latest display driver....roll it back. I have the same thing after almost every new driver update and have to roll back. Not sure why FS does this. Jeff D. April 27, 20224 yr I find it strange that people have to roll back their display drivers. Not saying its not a problem ,but strange. I always use the latest drivers and never had issues in any sim to date. Also using old drivers can open up your computer for exploits, no? So not really a good idea if connected to the internet...

April 27, 20224 yr I have ample bandwidth and have a very large rolling cache: I do it primarily to reduce load on the servers and imagine if everyone did it might actually help avoid connection errors or other server side issues. I never considered that thanks--I installed a new drive 1y ago when i installed the 3080Ti, and all's been well in terms of performance. I watch threads on new driver releases only to see if NVidia declars optimizations for MSFS in particular. Well, you have to do what you have to do. Using the previous driver (1 back) until either NVidia or FS can fix the issue may be the only way for some users to keep using the sim. Jeff D. I believe you are onto something.. in my case the Rolling Cache caused regular "Connection Lost" messages, after SU9. This was while flying around my home airport, so the data was in the cache, but clearly did not get used.. Bert
