May 2, 20224 yr @John Snyder Jr If you have store version installed. Check this path C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache Look for file content.xml - then remove that file. Restart the sim and see what happens. The file will be recreated. Hope it helps Intel i7 - 9700K @ 3.60 GHz | Asus RTX 3080 | 32 GB RAM | Saitek ProFlight Yoke System and Rudder Pedals | X-Touch Mini | Honeycomb Bravo TQ

May 2, 20224 yr Author I have fixed my problem. The google map replacement mod will not run with MSFS Sim Update 9. This mod right here.......... https://flightsim.to/file/19345/msfs-2020-google-map-replacement You have to go into your control panel and programs and delete it. Thanks for all your suggestions guys! May 2, 20224 yr One more suggestion John Jr Sir, if you think of yourself as not particularly tech savvy--what the heck are you doing installing the google map mod, and any other 'mods'? This sim is updated very regularly, and mods may or may not work. Plus, you don't need google map mod anyway. It's frequently this sort of thing that results in your kind of request for help. Follow the KISS method and you too can have a fabulous time w/ a minimum of problems. May 2, 20224 yr I don’t think the two are comparable. Tech savvy might be where to start with troubleshooting an issue to narrow down a problem occurring in complex software. Installing mods are usually made to be simple; double clicking on installer.exe or dragging and dropping a folder into another.

Yes of course installing mods is easy usually--and my point was the more mods, the greater the potential need for troubleshooting skills as his case and myriad others including the frequent admonition to empty your Comm Folder pre new SU just in case of conflicts, etc. Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. Well yes, but -- the Google mod is not one I'd recommend a non-tech savvy person install. That is the ONE mod and maybe the only one I would say that about. It's also weird that it says it is SU9 compatible on the .to site. Maybe it could be re-downloaded to the latest version and it would work. Glad it's sorted. When you said your sim was stuck at 95% loading it was a dead give away it was the google mod, as I mentioned earlier. Many have had the exact same issue. Had your removed the mods entries in the windows host(s) file your sim would load just fine - without the mod, of course. Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. After every update people can't understand why their sim won't load a flight and the majority of the time it boils down to this mod and the entries in the host(s) file preventing them from connecting to servers. I haven't read the mod's documentation as I never felt the need to try it, but these changes to the hosts should be stated in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS (if people even bother to read it). Like you, I learned very early in my simming days: Be very choosy and vet every single mod/change you make to the sim - more is not always better and K.I.S.S.. Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. May 3, 20224 yr There's no need to delete the Google mod, or to manually edit your hosts file. All you have to do is shut the mod down normally. When you do that, it cleans up after itself and deletes those entries... which are, btw, described in the mod documentation. Andrew Crowley
